Hey there. That dulcimer that started showing at about 1:20...... My father was the one who provided the guitar to help make it! I believe it was a Yamaha Pacifica Telecaster Style, and he even reshaped the head stock before it was remodeled into dulcimer form. Anyway, he enjoyed seeing it in this video. Just wanted to say that. ^^
What gauge strings did you use on the dulci guitar your father made? Also do you sell those dulci guitars/ or custom make them???. I play the guitar exactly like that and with the same tuning and I always have problems with the strings.. Also I'm in all rite now I can't believe I found somebody who actually plays the guitar/dulcimer like that...HAT'S OFF........
ok... u'r the best dulcimer player i've seen. wow! i don't really play dulcimer, i play guitar etc, but this is making me re-think my dulcimer's role... thanks boss!
wow! didn't even know u could do blues on one! i'll include a video of me playing. oh... wait a minute! i didn't even know that u have a guitar here. wait! ok... u just totally confused me! it's two different instruments in the beginning. good job!
Very informative series. I'm frustrated with "diatonic land". I don't play traditional dulcimer songs and am hoping to find a reasonably priced chromatic dulcimer. I hadn't seen an instructional series for chromatic and this really helped. Love the home made 6 string. I too have added a pick up and use occasional effects to colour my sound. Great playing and teaching!! Thanx for posting!!
