Junk silver is a term commonly used in the vested interests of investors of whom usually buy bullion or silver rounds entirely. Occasionally I'll run into investors that will buy $5000 in junk silver at a time in the span of a month to month basis.
@danpt2000 Junk silver coins are called "junk" silver because they have no collectible value above the bullion value of the silver they contain, whether it be 35% (War nickels), 40% (1965-70 half dollars) or 90% (everything else). Most people collect these because they are inexpensive, easy to get, and have little to no premium.
That's not junk, it's real money. Nice video but I never let 2 coins hit each other like that. Also, you might want to either use cotton gloves when handling them or grab them by the rim. That silver quarter is loosing its numismatic value just because you're rubbing your fingers on it.
I Love all your videos there really cool and u have such an awesome collection lemme ask u a Question...How many Collection coins do u have all together lol now tht'll be hard :)
I'm glad you like my coin videos. I have allot of Wheat Pennies (over 1000) plus all my other coin in my collection probably 500-600. So all together 1500 or more coins.
I like coins with more detail, such as hair line or other minor things like that. It is easier to tell the condition, other coins like the franklin halves are harder to grade because the hair line is already lokking like it is worn so it's a little harder to grade them in my opinion.
alright dude ive seen ur collection videos and those coins are very nice!!
you've done a great job with the collection... i just want to let u know that u should really take care of ur morgan silver dollars because some range in price from $300-$500 so its goo to not clang them on the table.
Yep, you can tell by the sound and the color of the coin, but the best way to determine whether the coin is silver or clad is by looking at the edge of the coin, if is clad you'll see the layers in diferent color, and if is silver it should be solid "white" :=)
Very good job on your coin videos, I really enjoy them!
dude that is so crazy i have silver quarter from 1953 and a Roosevelt dime from 1946 to haha.i also have a war nickel from 1941.but anyway nice video.

Why is it called "Junk"? Because it seems to worth something, at least to some people.

I'm a Canadian collector but I just love looking and learning about the US coinage. I love your entire collection..lots of cool stuff.
BTW, get those silver coins out of that wooden box. I was told soft wood products could really cause havoc with your coins
