I own this laptop. Got it from Walmart. It's taken a long time for me to transition from a normal laptop keyboard to this one's setup. It has a row of completely unnecessary keys to the left that I'm always accidentally hitting. It opens a bulky dvd viewer or calculator the most (beside tab and ctrl). It also seems temperamental with virtual memory, but those are really my only complaints. Everything else seems to check out with me.

This laptop is not ideal for being used as a "laptop", I can point out one MAJOR defect on it, which customers fail to notice as they don't really know much about computer engineering, on left hand side, you see where the air comes out, you see how low it is to the bottom of the laptop, that's a major problem for overheating which can cause damage to your laptop, so if you want to use your laptop on the bed for instance, the bed covers will block that causing laptop to overheat and maybe blow.

@markhorneyuk , that's why if you notice many laptops, the fan area is behind the screen area or the side of the computer higher up next to the USB or Lan port, not below it, unlike this laptop, which is very dangerous and I think compaq thought of that, or maybe they did so that customers would return it for repair for profit.

@markhorneyuk I kinda laughed when you said "Get that fixed asap". I've had this problem for about 5 or 4 months.. Also, the error message I get is called "System Fan 90b". Also this other thing. Whenever I'm on the computer for maybe 1 hour, it stops this noise. And whenever on MineCraft, it stops. Oh and often, whenever I turn the laptop on, it doesn't show the error message. Its just confusing!! I've tried one of those dust air spray into the fan. Yet nothing happened. Hope you could help!

@APOCALYPTIC117, well the trouble is, if the fan isnt' fixed properly, your damaging the processor and the mainboard through the overheating, using a can of air gas spray doesn't work that way, as you are only cleaning out 25% of the problem, if there is a problem with the fan, an engineer would diagnose it for you, weather you would need a new one or just a clean up with the current one you are using, the job would cost something like £50, many engineers do a no fix no fee.

This problem may only be fixed from the inside, which means, it has to be open and the fan removed from the machine and put back in after cleaning.

@Dzienciol0, go to the bios and you can disble that feature, giving you the choice to press fn + F1 F2...etc, common keys for bios, turn on laptop press F1, F2 OR F10, or esc, sorry, I forgot what key it is for this laptop, you just have what it says at the bottom of the screen after turning on.

really reliabe laptop and sturdy design , you can take it at one side and move it you wont feel the case bending or anything, it really a good bang for your bucks, best to take is atlhon II P340 gpu is radeon 4250 hd. you can upgrade later the cpu with a n660 phenom II if you found one or n620 ,640.
