There's no comparing the two. He made this song his own, which is the whole point of doing a cover. The original has more of a minor chord, hyponotic trance to it. This one is like a cheerful goodbye song.

Pretty solid cover. Glad Bright Eyes avoided shatting out a reproduction. If a cover mimics the original note for note, what's the point of recording it at all. Just download the original.
