I'm at episode 10 now and wow. Just wow. I think it's quite the mix between the gore of Higurashi and the brainsodomizing smartassing from Death Note (As this is not 4Chan's /a/ i think i can actually say things like this without getting scolded).

Now, people say the plot is a bit strange, but i can't wait. (Now let's just hope it's not a School Day's ending ;_; )

I actually love series like these where it literally requires you to not miss an episode to understand it. I also love how the characters are main characters and the ties between them and their past.

Good question. But no, his anime has nothing to do with Higurashi. Well, "our Rika" appears here. As they said in the Higurashi Rei NOVEL, Rika forgot everything at the end and became a normal girl again. Her 100 years old conciousness became a witch and she's a very good character in Umineko.

The only thing this horrible anime ruins is its own novel. If you watch this crap, you'll spoil the amazing sound novel's plot.

So she sets up a series of "games" that play the murders on the island in different ways each "world"the first book has 4 games once the 4th game ends you go onto Umineko Chiru which is a VN where a whole bunch of crazy shit happens and its so evil Kittens attacking people cross dressers and thongs :/

To all of those trolling that this anime is an imitation of Higurashi that fails to surpass it, you first have to troll Sekirei, Infinite Stratos, and 40 other Harem animes out there. Even if Umineko is a clone, at least it's a clone of something that doesn't suck. Also, I cried when they tore up Maria's diary, and I have only cried 3 or 4 times watching anime.

SPOILER This isnt revealed in the anime, but whole umineko setting is based on Battlers memories of the island. He survived and had amnesia. Only thing he remembered was in first 2 games. Then he found bottle mail from ocean and messages in them are rest chapters of the game. Anime is bad adaption of game because it doesnt explain anything at all. Both novels are great.

If you think that this anime is bad, then you are pretty wrong, I like Umineko better than Higurashi. Besides, I found Higurashi kind of boring, all about that god's curse, kind of makes it feel like he really exists.
