ive read his books since i was 19, the hypnotic world, an all the others an personaly none of em have changed my life for the better, maybe i cudnt reprogram lol
i wasn't into Paul until i watched him as a guess on the wright stuff this morning. He was brilliant, am now going to buy some of his books especially his new on on sleep.
And as for people hating on him, we live in a society where he isn't going to be everyones cup of tea, but at least he doesn't take it to heart and that's why he is successful, the negatives views he gets, he turns them into positive views
I'd really like to say this: find some things about you, that you know are right, and good, and then remind yourself about these things on a daily basis. These basic human qualities are the groundwork for a good, confident person. Hope this helps, it led me on the right path a while back, and I use Paul's book quite a bit currently. Also search for hypnotica :)
Try making your imagination more vivid e.g. If it is a person what are the details of their eyes? What does their lips look like? How smooth are their clothes? How are they standing? Picture EVERY detail no matter how seemingly mundane it may be - cause every detail will give you more intensity. And of course, have the image you want first (like make people who criticise you look like clowns etc). Think of it as how an artist would paint a masterpiece, all the details they'd put in. :)
theres no logic in what you said - just because it didnt work for you does not mean its fake - means you MAY not have used it as directed. what did you use it for? (ive done pauls course on NLP)
it might not work for some people in the same way that not everyone can be hypnotized. for the majority though, it seems to work. maybe your mind is too stressed or you're not receptive enough to it. you have to want to change, you know?
Unreal that Celia couldn't get the proper help before -- did she try NLP? Good to see his Ferrari -- cool! Did you hear a key? If she learned it, she could unlearn it! And she did!
what i don't understand, is how come these people were said to be incurable by all the professionals, yet mckenna cured them after a short time. ya know? i mean... it's like the other professionals didn't get the same education as mckenna or something. just odd, is all heh
she cant handle not being young an sexy again, wot paul said on the train was inspirational to me, howevwr i feel this guy with twinges shud be helpd by chiroprators also
As a Master Practitioner of NLP and as someone who has been involved with NLP for almost 30 years, I can assure interested parties these techniques are not only real and fast-acting.... but lasting!
The Trauma/Phobia technique has almost become a "party trick" in that it can be delivered so quickly.
That is brilliant that you have been a Master Practitioner of NLP and as someone who has been involved with NLP for almost 30 years by the sounds of things it really does help people in getting a better life, keep up your dedication. For those who are interested in NLP techniques could you advise us on what book to get and advise us on what websites to look at to get the most out of NLP please?
It gives you some good tips on confidence and the exercises DO help! If you do the exercises, you feel a lot more comfortable with who you are. I'd also try Overcoming Social Anxiety by Gillian Butler. It's really in-depth and helps you see where all your social problems are.
That dipwick spent $200k on therapy trying to cure needle phobia? One born every minute. No offense so McKenna, he's a good hypnotist, but there are many others out there that are just as capable. Slasha, Tourettes syndrome can respond to hypnosis and NLP. IM me privately. He can't cure you, but you can conquer it. No one can "cure" you or "make you" do anything. To say you can is irresponsible. One should empower the client. That is where cures come from, your own mind. MrE2u2, C.H.
I really like human interest stories and I'm also interested in psychology and the power of the mind. I watched the 8 videos from this series available on YouTube, and I thought that they were fascinating and inspiring. It's amazing the way Paul McKenna has been able to help people with problems that they've had for many years. I wish he had a similar series in the U.S.
Paul Mckenna has a sexy voice! I don't think people can get over someone that easily. At least doesnt work on me.

Have you worked with Paul McKenna one on one either for a TV show on stage or through an event?

In Pauls book "Instant Confidence", do i need to do ALL the exercises every single day?
Or just concentrate on the "5 minute daily workout" and use the cd each day?
Thanks

I love Paul McKenna and other hypnotherapy artists out there.
for TWENTY YEARS I have been unable to sleep a full night if I could even fall asleep!
I have had such peaceful happy sleep since starting therapy.
I'm already thin and don't smoke so that wasn't a problem. But it did make me more confident, reliable and self-assured. As well as well rested!

Be sure to keep an eye out for "I Can Make You Sleep", out on 1 January 2009.

My long term girlfriend today told me she didn't love me anymore-- and that she has met someone else, and it's going well. This left me devestated...
I have always suffered from VERY low confidence... I get very anxious in social situations and I just don't like myself.
Now is the time for change. I am going to buy Pauls book "Instant Confidence" and see how it goes...
