Song is based on the true story of convict on death row. George J. Kaminski has single-handedly collected 72,938 four-leaf clovers since 1995. A total of 13,383 were collected from within the 5-acre prison yard, during his recreation time at the State Correctional Institution, Somerset, Pennsylvania, and a further 59,545 were collected from the prison yard at the State Prison in Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, USA.
