WebGL is a gift to botnet owners and entirely useless otherwise. And what a pleasure is it to program in such a fast, beautiful and most of all consistent language like javascript.

@lennyhome Somehow, the unsercure and unproductive javascript is one of the most used languages. Web technology is much more than a language, and I am sure we will se first games based on WebGL next year.

@lennyhome If you want to avoid virus just use Chrome browser (it is sandboxed). Web technology is much better than most technologies such as Windows API.

No browser can do anything to protect the user from bugs in GPU drivers because the GPU itself has DMA access to the real memory. That is necessary for performance reasons and that's because WebGL exploits work regardless of browser and operating system. That's why they are so dangerous and that's why, again, you don't know what you're talking about
