Coming from a fellow musician, a good drummer doesn't act like he's doing a solo all throughout the song, drums are meant to compliment a piece of music, but your drumming is so flowery and overdone.
In short, a good drummer knows when to hold back and when not to.
This sounds good! but friend, i'm sorry but i have to say this.. jitrui's cover sounded nicer.... not that yours isn't nice. i just feel that your hoot cover may be a little too much on the beats... that's my personal feel... hope you don't mind me sharing my views on it. ur still awesome drummer!
the only thing i liked was the main groove in the verse... the rest i do not enjoy.. it sounded a little messy to hear... you've got the skills (i believe), so try to simplify your drum beats and it will sound really good!
