  • Love it.

  • I'm a very early beginner, but I have a friend who is instructor in many styles (hi Sean!). He put me onto Sonnon.

I notice Sonnon's body movements are a dead ringer for Kadochnikov Jr.

  • if he trained in sambo he must of also trained in systema, no question about it

  • He is a Master of Sport in Sambo AND the 1st Westerner to be licensed as an instructor in Russia to teach ROSS Systema.

  • There's definitely a Systema feel there.

  • No, there's not. It's ROSS/RMA. You've got your orientation reversed.

  • its russian systema!

  • Эх Жаль нигде не показывают как обучают русский спецназ в рукапашке убивать,)

  • Scott Sonnon is well known and well respected in the Russian martial arts community, specifically Sambo. But his fitness programs all emphasis flexibility and flowing, so thats why this seems so like Systema. I'm sure he's done Systema too

  • is this systema?

  • "to learn to do something fast slow down"

    chuck norris

  • AMEN!I preach & teach this to all my students, thanks for posting this quote.

  • "I'm sure it's deadly, but... it's wierd... maybe it's just the music?"

to me, everything Sonnon does is a bit weird.

But he's certainly a skilled fighter.

  • amen.

    repetition. repetition. repetition.

  • Where can this style be studied in the Delaware Valley?

  • Well said! Awesome exercise!

  • their technique is awesome, but they should put goggles on and use rubber knives with some sort of paint on them

  • Well said Heffy. Hear we go folks demonstrating slowly is for the students benifit and those of you watching the video at home , it lets you see whats happening .

  • Looks great but like i've said before in another vid, i'd like to see them do that alot faster

  • I'm sure it's deadly, but... it's wierd... maybe it's just the music?

  • that is pretty damn impressive I mean holy crap that was the most amazing style of fighting I've seen!
