Troy and Gabriella were very good. But the chorus ruined the song. It sounded like one of them was trying to belt out everything, but to no avail.

Their singing was good except for 1.44 to 1.50 where he drowns her out. I think that the Gabriella had a hard time dancing in the heels? And no offence to anyone, she can't act. Troy on the other hand was pretty good.

they're both OK singers, and they both have good ears, but they don't have the right voices for this type of music, they're not poppy enough and the guy doesn't have the range to sing this, he went down an octive for the belting notes because he can't do them, it would be a good show if they had different leads

Keep in mind, this was a highschool performance. The guy playing Troy is a classical vocal major, with long-term aspirations. He had no intentions of permanatly ruining his voice by belting B flats every night, for a high school show.

"stretching" your vocal chords isn't a good thing no matter how short or long you do it for. And he didn't go down for all of the notes, just the B flat. He's alot better than some of the other Troys I've seen posted. He has a full, clear voice, and a good ear. He did alot of good things with the role, and I'm sorry you fail to recognize that.

I didn't say he couldn't sing, I'm just saying "FOR THIS PART" they should've cast someone who could hit the B Flat, the fans of the show, that's what they're looking for. but I do agree this is one of the better ones on youtube, some of the guys just butchered it, but yeah, stretching your vocal chords doesn't permanetly ruin your voice, I don't know who told you that, but they're definetedly wrong

Man, both of them are awesome. But the guy is fantastic. Very soulful voice.
