i request everyone watching this video to come to this part of the world once atleast in their lifetime!! this road or should i say kardung la pass lies in the ladakh region of norther india,along with the china border! its one of the most beautiful places on earth!!...plz do come!!
sorry its khardungla in india which is the highest built road... ofcourse, there were rumours china is building one at 19500 feet but it hasnt been done yet.. so as of now it is khardungla
karakoram highway is the highest paved road (15397ft), khardung la is the highest drivable road (18380ft). sorry hate to sound like a know it all, went over it a few years ago!
@pos353 If by paved roads, you mean roads with tarmac, then Baralcha la(near Manali, India) is at an altitude of 16044ft. And the road there IS very well maintained.

there is a road on a active volcano and i dont aculy know the hight but i think its the highest road in the world
