I don't know about you guys, and this isn't meant to be a mean comment, but I like to actually raise my tamagotchi. I like watching it go through it's life and grow up. But I have to admit, if I ever get a v3, I will probably debug it with the help of this video.

if you debug it, the two wires on the inside are very susceptible to breaking, and then you'll lose your audio. and you shouldn't do it anyway because it gets addicting. i got my first tama when i was 4, and have been playing ever since. when i was younger, i'd always reset the tamagotchi, or debug it, and it wasn't ever fun, i just ordered a v3 in the mail, and i'm SERIOUSLY gonna actually play it how it should be played. I'm excited :D

why debug a tamagotchi anyway? i know its wicked that you get to choose any character you want, but isn't the point of having one to take care of it and watch it grow into a character depending on how you take care of it? i don't see any excitement in getting say a 'mimitchi' if you only got it from debugging your tamagotchi.

@zoebubsmakeup the v1 was made May 12 , 2003 - dissappeared July 14th , 2008 ... v2 was made January 29 , 2005 - dissappeared just a couple of years ago - November 10 , 2009 , v3 was made May 30 , 2006 - starting to dissappear !! Hurry up sister !!

@MasterChief1660 Haha no, I tried it with mine before I did it with my v3 and all it did was make it go into hyper-speed. It's also hard to get the v4 in half like that without breaking the antenna.

i did this in v4.5 and it worked ! just follow exactly hte same steps, although it does go into hyper mode just undebug it and it goes back to normal !

i figured out that my tamagotchi was on hyperspeed. whenever i press the C button twice it would go in hyper speed untill i pressed c again. Its a v3 and instead of the regular adult game slots it got sprint. Is there anyway to get it off hyperspeed and no do it? whats wrong with it?

@thespartanpelican for develipers, they use it to test the hardware and programing and to look for bugs (hence de-buging.) the tomocatchi select is to probaly make shure each one is working right. there might in it than is shown. they know what they are doing when they mess with the features, we do not, for all we know the hamburger pet could be incomplete and will freeze the game when it dies or something.

thanks for helping me undebugging my V3. I liked it for a while, but i got tired of it. i wanted it back to original mode. I've been looking 3 years for an answer. and i finally got one! so i opened the V3 up. put rubbing alcohol on debug. and it works now. thanks a bunch!!! :)

a v4.5 will not debug like the v3. You essentially do all the same steps I have shown you; but, the v4.5 will just go on fast speed mode, which is not much fun.
