quite comfortable, its not a super sport like most modern bikes so you don't have such an aggressive riding position.

1st gear is very short, but the 2nd & 3rd gears you can fucking cane it, your going through the gears like a fairly.

These bikes are built to be quick off the mark and thrashed.

I just bought a 1998 cbr600F3 with 9k miles for $2,200. the place I bought it from was about a 100 miles from home, so the ride back a good test for comfort. Let me just say that it exceeded all of my expectations. Also the insurance isn't too bad either (i'm 22 with a clean record). Keep on looking, you'll find your bike soon, but also keep in mind, the sv650 is a great bike, it was tough to choose the cbr over the sv.

i think i started too big haha because i'm looking at cbr1000rr's and r1's and stuff for my dream bike. i started out on a 700cc just because of my height, and i'm used to it. i'm not the fastest person on the road all the time, but i like to be able to get on it and get ahead of people when i want to. and i get around 45 MPG average. better than any car (except hybrids but who cares) but i want a bike i can cruise at highway speeds comfortably at. like 6th at 6k rpm going 65.

Im thinking about getting a 95 cbr 600f. Its my first street bike, i had a 1989 suzuki 100cc lol, but over the summer i was driving my friends 08 honda cbr 125 and over the 3 months i got pretty acustomed to riding street bikes so i thought id get one for myself. Im putting a restrictor kit on it for now because with my learners i cant drive anything with over 33bhp so i think it will be a good investment for later when i get my license and just take off the restrictor. dont get the zx6r, its too much for a first bike. Question - do your friends also wear wife beaters and shorts while riding ? if yes, they are probably SQUIDS. I can get to 90mph easy on the 250, trust me its much easier to learn on a 250, if your skeptical - buy used and upgrade in a few months, no money lost. If your over 200lbs / 6' then I would think about a bigger bike but still not a supersport... no responsible rider will tell you to get a supersport for a first bike, do your research.

I have no exact fact but gas mileage on any 600cc should be about 40-60mpg, (~3.8-6l litres/100km) depending on where and how you drive.

headlights are headlights. fairings are the side of the bike behind the front tire. and cowells are covers for the passenger seat.

A "cowl" is something to replace your rear seat as a : "Solo seat cowl"

But yeah, the fairings (on the 250) are divded into front/lower(left/right)/rear I'm pretty sure.

I put "aftermarket" 250R decals on mine.

It is only Europe(maybe Aussieland too) that puts a stock "250R" decal on the 08+ Ninja 250Rs.

nice a have a modded cbr 600 f2 weighs only 310 pounds its naked, the year before the f3. almost nothing changed thru 94 to 95 but the head light was curved more and the gauges thats it.
