You just need to turn on your phone and it will start downloading right away if you have service on it. or click the link in the description! because this video will be near the bottom! @locknn911 yeah, you can. if you want to stay 2.1. but froyo adds an official 30 dollar a month (if you want to use it) hotspot app. plus you get a MUCH faster and better web browser and access to apps that require 2.2 and above.

Samsung even killed some of vampirefo's links and sent him a message, because they did NOT want 2.2.1 to be shared since they don't plan on releasing it. FYI, I noticed that after I do the wifi fix and change my kernel version (moved from Vampirefo2_2 to vampirefo_2_7, my MAC address changed on my phone. Couldn't figure out why I could not connect to my MAC filter home network. Had to go into the filters and update the MAC address.
Just something for some to look at if they are not able to connect.
Is there away to unroot my phone because i was looking on th sdx forum and i saw that froyo might be available tomorrow 2/18/11 - 3/4/11 respond as soon as possible thanks

@TheRayBanSwag just download the full restore stock zip and apply it in recovery OR download the SPH-M920_MR1_DI11A_REL.tar and put that in the binary folder and flash it with swupgrade. that will unroot your phone and make it bone stock so that you get 2.2 tomorrow. People everywhere are saying that and sending me messages.
Do you know how to deodex on this rom and ext4? i am running whats on this video but im a little iffy on to deodex i found the deodex file for transform on one of the sdx developers forum

@TheRayBanSwag i don't think you can brick it by flashing a theme. the worst thing will be that you get stuck in a boot loop. and then you relfash your phone to stock.
@hopin101 the first time you boot into recovery, the folders should be created. if there not there, you probably don't have custom recovery or you have never booted into recovery.
@twinsman0104 until we get official froyo (if we do) they are not going to work. so you will have to type .com which is not hard, and I forget the button is there and always end up typing it. it's little bugs that you have to learn to adapt to, otherwise... go back to 2.1 and it will all work. I may sound harsh, but I am willing to "adapt" to little things like that, to keep me from using bleeding edge updates.
Hey theres a problem with the updated rom that has flash it works fine except when i lock on to what ever im taking a pic of it turns of but when i take the pic in turns on again before i would just have to hold on to the camera button lightely and it would turn on till i let go can you keep me up to date when they fix this bug, thanks again
@TheRayBanSwag YES. Typing RFS or EXT4 wipes your phone. use titanium backup if you are already rooted, to backup your stuff. I could wipe my video right now and not care, thanks to titanium backup
@TheRayBanSwag no, that's a fix that is implemented in portROM. you can add it yourself, but I honestly don't know how. But if you apply portROM instead of Froyo RC2, flash works. I am sorry! I hate it when I don't know how to do something. If I saw the thread, I could do it. but i don't know.

@oldfashion86 the front camera, I don't know. I hate seeing myself so I could care less if it works or not. but that will probably not work ever. Because the devs need the official FroYo source code, so that they can get the drivers to work with the front camera.
Hey, just did the root on my transform, soooo cool. the only thing that isn't working that I can see is the Rear camera and flash. Did I miss somthing? Otherwise the video was clear and made it real easy to root. thanks

Anyways, the flash isn't working because it was ported from a different phone and there is a working method on the forum to get flash working. I currently have it and flash it working fine for me! I have a video "just an update and flash is working" that I posted recently and it shows my flash going off while using 2.2.
@rossiesays get folder by having CUSTOM recovery. I have several videos showing people what custom recovery looks like. it creates those folders automatically. if you don't have CUSTOM recovery, then that's why you don't see those folders.

@StreamingKid no, you can go into recovery, apply the new recovery, reboot to recovery, go into console and type "rfs" and hit enter. it will wipe your phone and then you apply FroyoRC2. :-) Yeah, titanium backup feels essential. I actually feel like donating to him! it's just such an awesome app.
@StreamingKid NO! BUT if you apply the recovery_ext.rfs file, you will be able to type EXT4 and then apply his rom! That's what I am using! you get RFS if you type rfs and you get EXT4 if you type ext4, in the console

I actually tried the link on the forum with the port rom and ext4 and my phone got stuck in boot loop
it was painful and irritating i had to restore flash everything i had it was painful
and just to make sure 100% the portrom is deodexed i dont want to brick my phone?

I installed froyo RC2, recovery_ext.rfs and Ext4. Then I restored my data backup, not the system.
Everything works fine but when I go to the Market I'm getting an error message: "com.android.vending" stopped unexpectedly.
