The new series definitely borrowed from DMC ;) Also the mechanics of DOA and Tekken are similar, but there are differences that make them both unique and worth playing. Just like there are good and bad differences between DMC and NG =D

The last game this reminds me of is Wet. Wet was a cinematic game, Used just to make the player feel like they could take on the world with quicktime events, adding 0 challenge to the game. This however looks different.

2nd point: wet had you unlock weapons, and said weapons could not be swapped for weapons enemies drop

3rd point: wet had samey enemies example, the fighters had all the same tactics, charge at you through the most linear path, while it seems that this game has fighters running up walls to get you
