My sister had burned a couple of Dead Can Dance songs in a mix CD a few years ago. I don't know if she gave me a couple of their weaker songs or what, but I didn't care for them, for some reason. But about a month or so ago, I randomly decided to try them again, just to give them another chance (because, really, what's two songs? Nothing). I'm so glad I did. This song is absolutely fantastic.

Absolutely magnificent. Every piece of this song, its slow, steady, almost lazy beginning; then slowly the unfolding of additional sounds and of course the shift in Lisa's voice... it's like venturing into yourself and getting to know one's interior the way you never thought possible. This is narcotic music... It almost seems to induce a meditative state and sharpens the senses at the same time toning down all the negativity and primal instincts. I can't find the best words to describe it.

in response to the question of " is it pagan?" of course it is! To be pagan means to worship nature. With the Native American influence on spirit chaser, I say it's definately Pagan, and that's a good thing!

No, pagan is not worshipping nature. Being pagan simply means that you worship multiple gods. The Greeks and Romans were pagan. Pantheism is worshipping the entire world as god, and is therefore a more accurate description.
