She is AWESOME in this! What a costume and what a voice, acting and performance! I wonder if she ever sang Dalila on stage. She would be marvellous! (I don't know if she is still alive!) I've discovered her short time ago and since then I admire her art. All Romanian singers are exceptional. Just to think about sopranos Virginia Zeani and Angela Gheorghiu.
Elena was for OPERA as it was DOINA BADEA to Romanian pop music.

Callas's interpretation is still my favorite. But Cernei's performance is sensational.

@muatlas Elena couldn't be compared to Callas at all. Callas' voice has not this depth.
CERNEI IS ABSOLUTELY STUPENDOUS!
Enormous, rich voice, no matter if she sang live or not, always all is fantastic!
