i know this was posted like 4 years ago, but this is one of the funniest things i've ever seen....and has happened many many many times with friends and family...we would always have to move it off the dining room table because of christmas dinner...and sometimes the game would have to be paused until the next day...i think our longest game was about 8 hours.
Reminds me of when we had to finish half-way through a game.
I took the time to draw the entire map on a piece of paper and count every individual unit, noting around the edges what cards everyone had (they filled that part in) and who's turn it was.
its easier for just 1 person to move risk because thatn that "1 person" has control over the whole board so 2 people dont have to be thinkin the same thing at the same time
Haha, my friends and I play Risk in class a lot during the last few days etc., and we always carry the board in and out of the storage room, and sometimes move it from the classroom to the library, etc., but we've only ever moved it down the stairs once, and we did it pretty quickly, and we didn't knock any people over, amazingly. :P The board is currently fully set up, in the storage room for the weekend. xD

I printed up a grid so you could write down how the game was set up. Seems easier than drawing the whole map.

why did you have to move it? it would seem sucidial for the game to move it down stairs lol.

We were playing in my friend's parent's room, and they were going to bed. So they kicked us out, and the best available room was downstairs.

to say that is "fully set up" is a great exaggeration.
fenixdown22 4 years ago
I apologize for not being up to your outrageous standards.
Please, by all means show me a "fully set up" board so that I may fix the error of my thinking.

okay I'm doing it can you see?

if u have a vido camera cound't u just make a movie of the map and set it up downstairs?
naliuj 5 years ago
I suggested that idea (The camera is primarily for photography) but they shot down the idea, as it would be more fun to do it this way.

Ever seen the seinfeld where Kramer sprints out of the building with a full board? THAT'S talent.
