I don't like to watch girls fight at all. But I like to see tall beautiful girl fighting against tough bad guys. In my teens I have been always bullied and abused by classmates. So I dreamed about those girl who would protect me and beat my offenders down
My name is 'Nyoka' w/Kay in this role as my namesake. My grandfather saw these movies and loved the name. When I made my grand entrance in the summer of '69, guess who got this crazy name? What a huge name to slap on a kid! I eventually grew into it and actually appreciate its uniqueness as I've grown older, but I can remember a time that I'd have given anything to be a 'Lisa' or 'Tracy'!!!
I used to watch this every day after school when I was about 7 - 8 years old (1982/83). I`ve been looking for evidence of this series for absolutely ages. I can remember the series I watched, and I thought it was called "Nyoka and the Tigermen". Is this just a figment of my recollected imagination? Anyone? Thanks.
that's true. I read in Ike Turner's book that he use to watch the Nyoka series at the theatre when he was young and was impressed by her wild-like image on the screen, so years later he invisioned his protege, Lil' Ann, (Tina) going on stage and acting wild too.
This movie was shown (in serial form) at my local cinema at Bishop's Waltham (in Hampshire, England) week after week after week in the early 1940s. It was the highlight of my regular visits to "The Palace" cinema, sitting in the seven penny seats at the front. I never imagined I would ever see it again, so a big thank you to whoever posted it.

It's a good thing grandpa didn't like the name Charles Middleton.
You could have wound up being Nyoka Ming the Merciless.

Ray Crash Corrigan played the gorilla. I cannot write down the name, but Toga, would be a more appropriate name for the ape.

Check out the Spielberg/Lucas INDY JONES interview elsewhere in here... THIS GIRL IS IT!

In the original - beautiful girl<3 with tender face, who looks feminine even when fights agianst army of goons.
In Spielberg's opuses instead of girl - tough guy with stubble. Why? The reason is:
Spielberg is a FAGGOT. He have donated $100000 for allowing gay "marriage" in California. Just google "spielberg gay".
It's all facts, just facts

interesting fact: according to musician ike turner, Nyoka's image inspired him to name his lead singer Tina Turner.

Kay is my great grandmother...I had no idea she was Tina Turner's name inspiration! haha...How weird!
eliastucker 4 years ago
Yes, it's too weird. I never believe in it.
Really Tina Turner was inspired by image of gorilla Satan. Tina Turner looks and acts like gorilla.
