I was issued the IBA in the Army for a while. I and others actually like the IBA better than the IOTV in some ways. It's way quicker to don with just the vest than either the IOTV or a plate carrier. It doesn't distribute the weight as well as an IOTV, nor is it as light as a plate carrier, but it definitely has it's pros.
I'm 5'8, ~145lbs, and a size small fits me great. A size medium is a bit on the big side, but I can adjust it to fit me okay.

A sniper would probably not be wearing those arm protectors anyway if your're worried about shoulder space. But just out of curiosity, do the arm protectors have kevlar in them or do you have to insert some kind of ballistics plate?

@Crazymandarinorange I have been in the Army for a couple of years now, and when I play, I play with people who are not military who wear insignia and rank.. Airsoft is a game a realism, hence MILSIM. They use the rank to create some structure in their games, which I believe is a good idea. I haven't said a word to anyone about patches, because I haven't seen any of them out in public with it, or hear them claim anything. They actually look up to us soldiers, an I wouldn't want to ruin that.
I hope you were in the armed forces cause I notice you have a rank patch, If you werent I would def take that off I know alot of guys that served dont like that because you didnt earn it.

Hey I bought the Condor/OE Tech Plate Carrier with Cummerbund, sometimes called the operator I think? Anyways, I have the michael phelps super tall in the torso body, so that thing sat 3 inches above my belly button, and my pants usually sit another 3 inches below that, so half a foot between pc and belt was way weird. Do you think this PC would be okay for someone who's really tall and somewhat freakish like me? Hard question to answer I know. Thanks, DESTROYER.
@5hiThAppEnS2 It gives you a better grip on the bottom of the mag, so there is less chance of dropping the magazine, and (on a real gun) the floor plate coming off and losing a whole magazine of ammo, the better grip also decreases reload time. All in all, the only thing better than duct tape is an actual MagPul, but those are also more expensive.
i have an IBA kinda heavy the vest itself is heavy with gear it gets really hard to maneuver in it so i had to get a new more flexible one my IBA is now just for ppl that dont have a veast at airsoft games

I just got mine from CIF and I've been trying for the last 20 minutes to squeeze the front plate into one of the bottom front slots. No wonder it didn't fit... lol
it was pretty warm, that was kinda the reason i got rid of it, it wasnt bad when you would kneal but when you sat down it would rid up to your chin and just feel awkward to move in, so over all i would give the vest a 3/5

Without that neck protector your jugular could get hit and you'll bleed out. Our soldiers need better body Armor. Not just the chest and head, but also the legs, lower back, knees, and sides and your arms.

why do people duct tape the bottem of there mags sometimes like even real military personel tap the bottem of their mags, why do they do that?

@5hiThAppEnS2 It gives you a better grip on the bottom of the mag, so there is less chance of dropping the magazine, and (on a real gun) the floor plate coming off and losing a whole magazine of ammo, the better grip also decreases reload time. All in all, the only thing better than duct tape is an actual MagPul, but those are also more expensive.

i have an IBA kinda heavy the vest itself is heavy with gear it gets really hard to maneuver in it so i had to get a new more flexible one my IBA is now just for ppl that dont have a veast at airsoft games

it was pretty warm, that was kinda the reason i got rid of it, it wasnt bad when you would kneal but when you sat down it would rid up to your chin and just feel awkward to move in, so over all i would give the vest a 3/5
