You can also preview it, set the sizes, and make it cut portrait (rather than landscape, which is what you showed) when you design it in Cricut Craft Room (available online and for download to your laptop or desktop computer). I highly recommend giving it a try!
Oh my goodness, you are such a blessing!! I could never figure out how they did the sizing of the cuts. I could not have asked for a better tip of working with my cricut! After seeing all of the great reviews I'm not the only 1 that appreciates your hard work n you sharing with us your knowledge! Again thank you so very much and keep the tips coming!! Hope you have a blessed day! Sheryl
OMG, I cant tell you how many pieces of perfectly good paper have gone to waste because of the trial and dial change ways. I subscribed to your videos because they are so very informative! Thanks so much!
This was another awesome video! Watching your videos is going to help me utilize all the wonderful features of my expression. The video it comes with is not nearly as informative as yours. Thank you so much-Laura
thank you so much.will help alot.now i won't have throw out so much paper.i am new to cricut and can use all the advice you have.love the paper dolls!! can't wait to get that cartridge.

OMG THANKS SO MUCH!!! These tips are so helpful... Now I can you my Dress up Doll Cartridge that was sooo intimidating to me lol I wasn't sure what size to cut the accessories! Why Provo Craft didn't think of putting these tips in the BOOK!!!! Bless you for explaining this less paper waste! BTW I had to sub you glad to have found you :-)
I am sooo glad you were able to figure this out for all of us! I have anguished over the sizes for a long time. I am in heaven now. I truly appreciate you sharing this with all of us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain some of the information you have learned from using your Cricut. This helps enormously. It's a shame that Provo Craft did not see the need in including this in their books. Thank goodness you were able to decipher this and put it out there for all of us. It is SO appreciated. You are a blessing. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Suzy
Thank you sooooo much for sharing this info. I could never figure out how to get the right size results. This is essential info that all Cricuteers can use! Have a great day!
Oh my goodness!!!! I have had my Bug for three years and have wasted soooo much paper trying to cut the correct size!!!! This is WONDERFUL!!! Woo-Hoo!
This is extremely helpful! I didn't know that about the base cuts and the overlay cuts (i.e. set on 4" and everything cuts to fit 4" base cut). Thank you so much for sharing this information.
Thank YOU for the great tutorial, I have such a hard time trying to figure some of the functions out. I stopped using the Cricut because of that but now I found YOU on YOU TUBE, thank you, thank you thank you!!!!
@Tammybowstamper I have a quick question if you don't mind helping me. I have the Create a Critter and I tried to Layer 1 shift on pg 66 the ladybug and couldn't for the life of me get the heart I wanted. I tried everything I could poss. think of and I kept getting the face & wings of the ladybug even though I put the shift on. Thanks for your time.
@craftymagnets I just tried it and it worked check 2 things when you have the layer 1 creative feature key selected it will be backlit in green. This is how you tell what creative feature key on. it is the gray key on the upper left top. (layer1) You must have this on because you are getting the non shift so if you press the shift it will also be backlit in green to show that it is selected. The shift only stays selected for 1 key selection. You have to use shift lock for more than 1.
@Tammybowstamper Thank you for that tip, I'm going to try in a little later. Also I tried putting the book sideways like you said and it worked like a charm, you are really good and kind to help us who need these tutorials.
Fantastic Tips, Thanks for Sharing!
