this past weekend, in Dallas, TSA agents requested i remove the lid off my SoBe drink, and they swabbed the open top of it with a gold colored liquid that was squirted onto a Q-tip in front of me. i asked them what they were looking for, and was told "for any sort of things which shouldn't be there". so i threw the $5 drink into the nearby trash can and boarded my plane. and the TSA dopes acted mock surprised at my reaction. what BS.

While it is a tad extreme, those body scans and whatnot... I think people should get over themselves. I would walk through the scans butt ass naked, if it ment my chances of getting blown up, were decreased(sp?). Known criminals have been known to waltz right past TSA agents while ordinary people are stopped and groped or put through the scanners. Make no mistake - this is not about protecting people - its about subjugating people. The measures now are, as you concede, a tad extreme - but they will become more extreme. Btw - there are now reports of a significant rise in cancers occuring in TSA agents who work by those scanners.

I have to agree with the woman's son. It seems a bit extreme when you think about it from an outsider's perspective; you want to travel somewhere, and not only do you have people rummaging through your personal items, but you are forced to either expose yourself to radiation, or endure getting felt up for several minutes.
Imagine someone whose job requires them to travel on a regular or almost daily basis. That radiation builds up after a while; and those pat downs can become pretty irksome.

Besides, in all the reports of plotted terrorism I've read it was the passengers, not the pig TSA security workers, who stopped the planned attack. These security measures are put in place to make people feel better, nothing else. Because, honestly, you could kill many many more people at a busy mall with one good bomb than a plane. Why don't we have full-body scans there? Because people aren't afraid, and don't need the comfort.

I have to agree with the woman's son. It seems a bit extreme when you think about it from an outsider's perspective; you want to travel somewhere, and not only do you have people rummaging through your personal items, but you are forced to either expose yourself to radiation, or endure getting felt up for several minutes.
Imagine someone whose job requires them to travel on a regular or almost daily basis. That radiation builds up after a while; and those pat downs can become pretty irksome.
