  • I don't have a problem with women wearing a hijab in football.

But do any members of the Iranian Women's Football team have the right not to wear a hijab if they choose not to?...do they have a free choice?

Without doubt Iran is a oppressive state run by a crazy dictator.

Things that are banned in 'modern day' Iran are spiky hair, pet dogs, Facebook, ponytails, mannequins, rap music and ties.

Lets not paint a picture that Iran a great place because it has a woman's football team.

  • @roddhillonesq Thats not the issue at all. Fifa has no business in the polticial affairs of another nation. Fifa is about soccer and football, its not some human rights advocate or association that fights for the rights and freedoms of people, so whether or not these women must wear a hijab does not matter in this case. Its the fact that they were banned because they wore it, whether with or without their will they were discriminated against.

  • About the hidjab, i'm against the FIFA's decision. If it was for 'safety reasons' it was a big fail. As for the rest of the video, you clearly have a very brainwashed-romanticized opinion about Iran. Ignoring a cruel reality is disrespecting the people who are being oppressed and brutalized every day on Iran.

  • @ZZzzzzzWhat Dont go too fast there, i didnt glorify Iran in any way in this video BESIDES the fact that despite its horrible reputation i do find it great that Iran did decide to create an International Female Football team and actually have them compete for FIFA and showcase their talents to the world. That is as far as my "romanticized opinion" goes about Iran.

  • @ramio1983 sorry for my miss interpretation.

  • that is not cool fifa...not cool.

  • ps: ofcourse, in part 1 I mentioned female women in stead of 'female football women'... big wooops...

  • (part 2/2)

Because lots of these muslim girls and their parents think very old-fashioned about sport. There are still parents who think football is for men. And its time to start moving such bizar way of thinking. FIFA would give a good contribution if they would accept the head scarfs. I also want to mention, I remember the FIFA was not tolerance to women in general, unfortunately I was not surprised by FIFA banning these head scarf wearing women... Reasons enough to sigh... (part2/2)

  • (part 1/2) I do not agree with the decision of FIFA. It's sad to hear. On one side you have the great news that female women exists, second, it's about Iranian woman, and thirdly, they wear head scarfs. I mean, how great is that? It's a proof of these women that there's movement from their side, that they participate in the world. That's something what we have to stimulate more, they could be an example for young muslim girls living in Europe. (part 1/2)

  • Football is gay.

    Rugby League baby!

  • Comment removed

  • @pb4lyf Lol oh the irony.

  • Ahh, i think this decision by FIFA is unfounded and unsportsman like.

  • no disrespect but the scarf is stupid, why should women wear it, they should show how beautiful they are, not hide it. ynwa

  • @majfunkmeister The scarf is stupid in your opinion, i personally think its beautiful.

  • @majfunkmeister a woman wears a scarf so she will hide her beautiness and only to take it off for her husband...thats wat its for so

  • @majfunkmeister um......thats the point, modesty. this world is gonna crumble...

  • @majfunkmeister Please don't write ethnocentric bullshit and then associate yourself with LFC. Your opinion is based off of the way you live and were raised. You have no right to tell other people that your way of living is better than someone else's. Writing "no disrespect but" and then writing something extremely bigoted is not okay just because you wrote "no disrespect".

  • NO fifa didn't can the Iranian womens team,

The Iranians womens team banned themselves

You don't want to play within the rules??? Don't play

  • @Mollarooza Um no no, im pretty sure the Iranian womens team was keen to play. They got banned because they wear a thin material over their hair, yes listen to that again- that is how ridiculous it is. I thought soccer was the world game- Muslims not allowed?

  • @ramio1983

    Muslims not allowed?

Where did I say muslims are not allowed???

I said if you don't like the rules don't play, the hajib is not apart of the uniform code, these women are welcome to play so long as they choose to play by the rules, if they don't want to play by the rules thats fine its their choice but don't whinge if you don't like the rules

  • @Mollarooza These women have played on/off with the Hijab for the last 2 years, this final plug was sudden and came just in time for them to get to qualifying stages. The problem is not the Hijab. There is no rule against the Hijab- the women are playing using standard stock uniform. Shirt, Shorts/Pants, Boots, Socks. There is no evidence the Hijab is dangerous during soccer, not gives a team an advantage. Iran was disqualified because it is seen as a western enemy, i believe that.

  • @ramio1983 Iran was disqualified because it is seen as a western enemy, i believe that.

Is this the same iran who hangs people if they are gay?

the same iran who stones women if they have been raped?

  • @Mollarooza Saudi Arabia do some terrible things too, but the west are bum chums with them- why is that so hey? Oil and Money talks. Only because Iran is a rebelious resourceful nation are they seen as an enemy, if they shared with us we would befriend them even if they killed gays and stone women (very very rarely- and of course it aint right!)

  • The west politicians do not have intellect capacity to think without Zionists thinking for them.

The Zionists media say some lies, they repeat it, then they believe it themselves, and eventually, they judge according to it.

Zionists culture always invents lies and invents another lies to prove the lies.

The west only wants to impose puppets and dictators on Muslim countries for the benefit of Israel.

  • Women's Veil 1 CORINTHIANS 11:6

6 If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.

  • If Iran was friend of the west do you think fifa will ban the Iranian girls? They say don’t mix sports with politics but that’s what they doing. They don’t like Ahmadinejad and that’s their way of saying F U. In 2006 they were thinking of banning North Korea from the world cup.

  • Sounds like the guy who is in charge wants to make as much profit as possible. Hense he wants the females to dress to impress. Either hijabs arent sexy enough to bring in the money, or he is avoiding a law suit from a safety claim. Like you i am no expert so what can you do. I support them playing soccer but the host has set the rules so at the end of the day thats the bottom line. People are quick to cry discrimination these days

  • @sirjarhead It is discrimination and im not crying over it, i am putting it to everyones attention and have given enough evidence to show the reasons behind the ban carry no weight with them.

  • As always- love your videos. I was going to make a video myself on this but you did such a great job nothing else is really needed I guess! Thanks for the post!

  • @MrMarchant71 Its pretty crazy, especially when you dig deep into it and see their reasoning is not substantial and the head of FIFA is a chauvinist wanting girls to play soccer in hot pants to "attract" more viewers, the whole thing becomes crystal clear.

  • meh, I think it is a storm in a tea cup but with that being said you're correct about Saudi Arabia; it is hypocrisy for the west to whine about Iran on one hand and then support Saudi Arabia on the other.

  • @kawaiigardiner It definetly is not a storm in a teacup. Here we have a nation that the west regards as an enemy, putting forward a team of confident women, representing their country to the world- culturally they are different but ready to play, and they got BANNED from playing for such a silly reason. I gave evidence that the head of FIFA is a chauvinist and supports women playing in skimpier clothing rather than modestly- you do not see this as a violation and discrimination, its wrong.

  • @ramio1983 Hang on mate, take a deep breath - not every decision is because of anti-Islamic or chauvinistic reasoning. I'd love to know what the status of Saudi Arabia is, do they have a women's soccer team going to the Olympics/World Cup? I'd also like to hear their reasoning behind the decision and whether FIFA have made exceptions to groups in the past - have they allowed sikhs to wear turbans, devout Christians to wear a cross on a chain? more info is need before judgement can be made.

  • @kawaiigardiner Im not getting defensive dont worry :-). I did prove to you that the chief of FIFA wants to objectify women by making them dress "skimpier" so more men will "watch them" - from a females perspective wouldnt it be seen as chauvinist? This is about Iran, not Saudi Arabia- we need to stay on topic and western nations support Saudi Arabia, so they're our friends apparently. Iran is an "enemy" oddly enough. Theres no evidence backing up any of their reasons as i highlight clearly.

  • @kawaiigardiner Recently a woman got killed in a Go-Cart ride in Australia as her Hijab got caught to a wheel, that makes sense- in that they have proof to state that Hijabs are dangerous there and could no longer be worn. In the case of football there is nothing to suggest it as being unsafe or an advantage to the players. This was Irans chance to showcase itself to the world in some way, to be a little more like us they were cut off by a clear cut chauvinist- im not paranoid - its pure truth.

  • Their scared Iran would win the world cup :)

  • @Perseveranze lol heck yeah!

  • Question: are other womens' football teams standing up to support their sisters in arms? or is the main guy up in arms just the president? If it is the latter, I do wonder if it for him, more of a "look at us, we're not so bad as you think".

Hypothetically if these women were to be offered multimillion contract in the UK or some other country, do you think they would be able to go home and drive their flashy new car by themselves? I say nay.

    When in rome, baby..

  • @dv8tion242 I wasn't aware that Iran banned women from driving, or is this just a case of them all looking alike to you.

  • @jimmycornbread lol in Iran women drive and do drag races, thats a fact.

  • @jimmycornbread Who is 'all''? Who is ''they'? Yes I made a mistake, but don't you dare think that means I hate people. I'm OK with looking up a mistake, correcting it and moving on.

  • @dv8tion242 Good sport!

  • @dv8tion242 Umm women in Iran not only can drive, they compete in car races too. People think in Iran women are not successful, heres some trivia. Every 1 in 3 doctors in Iran are women, compared to 1 in 5 in the USA not to mention in the field of education women are an overwhelming force. You are talking about Saudi Arabia, the country much of the west befriends because of oil, even though it violates most human rights and is run by a fat rich king. LET the Iranian women play baby!

  • @ramio1983 Yeah, you're quite right. I do retain the opinion that people are used for more than they want or expect. Humans should have the same basic rights, regardless of locale. So I apologize openly for my mistake.

  • 1st of I think in Aus is winter thats Y U wearing the hot dresses.

2nd every one must have the right to wear what he/she want,no one have right to force any one on any dress or thing.

3rd every team have its uniform so may be the Iranian Female team's uniform include Hijab..

4th the Sport is allowed in Islam 4women &men But the women when they doing sport then no man should look at them,so I think there is no benefit of Hijab if the women's other parts wont be covered specially when she run

  • Totally agree with you bro.

I'd hate to not be able to do something because of my hijab >:|

  • Yeah, this is a bit ridiculous. Although it's obvious Mr Ahmadinejad is fighting them probably to use for his Anti-Western propaganda. This is the guy that said that the symbol of the 2012 London games has Pro-Israeli propaganda in it; nuff said.

But yeah, I agree. Even though there's absolutely no good reason whatsoever for them to wear it, they should still be allowed to.

  • @Gunderson002 Exactly man at the end of the day, its been modified to be soccer friendly, they clearly want to play and they should be able to do so.

  • I cant be sure but i have heard that headscarf have been band for quite some time now coz the northend contries wanted to wear them for the cold. why make consetions for some. to me it looks unsafe for the same reason when i was young i was not allowed to play with rolled up sleeves.

  • @marcarmstrong88 Looking unsafe isnt good enough, many middle eastern teams/women have played with headscarves for years and many in western nations, no evidence suggests it is unsafe- hence their ruling has no weight on it- also remember these ladies were allowed to wear it on and off for a few years.

  • but have you read fifa's law 4

  • absolutely ridiculous

  • Rather than being bigots they should stop practicing bribery. I hate stupidity.

  • if they really want to play they should follow the rules like everyone else. Then Play Ball!!!

  • @palomoniz yea follow the rules, but if you watch the men play youll see they have headbands on and sometimes they have some kind of banage on that cover their whole head if they have a injury. why can men wear that? They dont have to follow the rules?

its just one more way for non muslim men to tell muslim women how to dress, as if we are childern and dont know what is best for us. Dont try to "free" us, we are already free, thank you

  • @palomoniz They are following the rules, they were allowed to play with the headscarves periodically but then banned them- they need to provide evidence on their reasoning for the ban to truly be fair.
