Grew up in London but now I live in Ottawa and no matter what, I ALWAYS have to say I'm from London ONTARIO ... Cause apparently people don't know there's a city called London in their own province -_-
Lived in London from 73-78 while attending UWO. Fondly remember the local bars like Fryfogles, the Rideout, the Firehall, the City Hall, Mingles and the Old York plus the Victoria tavern. Gosh, it's amazing I got through university at all LOL!!! But I did and moved away. And I still think about London from time to time and the great many people I knew... Thanks for posting this!!!
Nice video and nice choice of song. I am an artist/musician and just finished a couple portraits of John Lennon. I will send this to my friend Louise who is the founder of the Jann Arden and Midi Fan club page on facebook. Any newcomers to London can befriend me on facebook. I'll give you tips. I play principal cello in Orchestra London which they will have to come and hear. There is also theatre at the beautiful Grand and all the summer festivals in Victoria Park Take care!
@cellochick56 Orchestra London you say? Did you see the video that had music created especially by Jeff Christmas for the video? It played at the JLC during the Olympic Celebration Ceremony
@PaddyWhackish really depends on your situation - london is a different experience for everyone - be it single, married, rich, poor, etc....
That being said, as a single Londoner myself I have to say London tends to be a bit tough to network at first, but once you get to know the city, things get better.
@TheBobohj I have to respectfully disagree. I think Canadians say eh a lot more than they realize. I know my folks moved out of the country and come and visit every several years and comment how how much they notice people saying "eh" now, whereas they never realized it when they were living here.
@aaaalexffff That would be the free spray pad located at the Fork of the Thames, located between Riverside and King near Rideout. (Right by Museum London)

Hello Cherrilollipop, great video! A good visual guide to London Ontario. @WEST490 I never claimed this was an "all encompassing" video. As previously stated, these are just pics I've taken on walkabouts I've had thoughout London and as I live downtown, most of my walkabouts are downtown.
Thanks for the memories of my hometown. Moved to BC 15 years ago, but my heart will always belong to London. Grew up in Westminster Park and still have all my family living there.
Great job showing off London. Beautiful. It would be nice to see some shots from Home County Folk & Art Festival and Richmond Row - two great home grown London things! Cheers
