Go look up the name Georges Sorel. Around the 1920s he wrote that the idea of the great strike was a myth (the idea that all workers could strike and bring down capitalism), but he said it was only important that people believed it to be true because, just like the second coming of Jesus (as an idea), it was good for motivating people's behaviour.
This had a great impact on a lifelong socialist by the name of Benito Mussolini.
Seriously, a dictionary for complex political theory?
This is exactly why there's so much misunderstanding.
In the run up to WWII, anyone who refused Stalin's authority was referred to as a 'fascist'. But Stalin was just as much a racist as Hitler.
Stalin built death camps and wanted to carry out a second Holocaust, line up the Jewish Red Army officers in Red Square and have them shot, but he died just before he executed his plans.
Fascism is two things: a political religion and a belief in something not true, which must be regulated.
Socialists: big government. Fascism/Dictatorship: centralised authority.
Socialists: The big strike to bring down capitalism. Fascism/Dictatorship: 1000 Year Reich.
Socialists: political correctness/moral equivalence (fetish for suicide bombers, always favour non-whites and abandonment of moral reasoning). Fascism/Dictatorship: preservation of aryan race.
Like I said, you simply don't know what the words socialist and fascist mean. If you think socialism means abandoning morals and fascism means preserving the Aryan race, then you must think democracy means giving tax cuts to oil companies and invading Muslim countries. None of those things are properties to any of those forms of government. They're just things countries which professed to have those forms of government have done. You're making strawmen.
Well, you haven't answered what I said, you've just distorted the meaning. This is because you don't want to believe what I've written. If you stopped believing in socialism, then you'd be giving up your religion.
You are anti-democratic. In every policy you implement, you destroy democracy. Look at Europe and Greece for example.
You know nothing, and care even less. You must get socialist policies enacted. Even though they're proven not to work. Fascism defined.
What would you like me to answer? Your strawman definitions of socialism and fascism? Those I won't answer. I can give you links for their actual definitions if you want, but if you were actually interested, you'd look them up on Wikipedia before making up strawmen.
I do happen to be against democracy (I'm in favor of technocracy), but that has nothing to do with my support of socialism.
I'm not interested in discussing with you further until you know what socialism and fascism mean
@meritocratic1337 The reality is that they are the same, Adolf Hitler is an good example, if he would have stepped down in 1938 he would have been remembered as a great leader who put Germany back on its feet, we all know what happened. Socialism is the same, the law comes from the barrel of a gun and creates " technocrats " who are running the show. The former communist states are very clear, your " technocrat " society is nothing mere than a bunch of thugs running a country with bayonets.
@Tralgit I'm sorry, I don't know which comment you are responding to. What are the same?
And technocracy and technocrats have nothing to do with socialism. I'm not quite sure what you're on about. You may want to look up the meaning of "technocracy." By the way, that's not meant as an insult. I don't know why when I suggest someone look up the meaning of a word they are misusing they become offended. Words have agreed upon meanings, and you just aren't familiar with this one. Just Wikipedia it.
@meritocratic1337 You mean a government run by technicians and specialists? That's what all these " ism " are claiming, they know what's best for the common people and they will tell you how your life is going to be. Is that your imagination of a " good " society? Communism and Fascism claim the same, their " leaders " knew what was good for " their " people.
@Tralgit Technocracy does not mean that every decision is made by specialists. It means that people who are professionals in a field vote on matters in that field instead of the public who are not. Things like tax increases are decided by economists instead of people who read about economics in the news and on Wikipedia, like me and (I presume) you. Do you think you can predict economic changes as well as an economist? I don't think you could and I don't think I could.
@meritocratic1337 Reality is different, try visting the former communist states and you will see there is no difference. communism killed more people than fascism.
@Tralgit It's really a shame that people think that, on the topic of government almost exclusively, the existence of something which didn't work once proves that everything like it (or that just shares its name) cannot work. It's so much a fallacy, I don't know if there's even a commonly used name for it. It's just that poor of an argument, and it would never stand in any other context. Try arguing "I broke up with my girlfriend so monogamy can't work" and see if it makes sense.
@meritocratic1337 Read history, the Romans already knew that a person gets " power hungry " if they get too much success, read the part about the victory parades when a general came back from conquering. Why do you think most democracy have a rule of two term leadership. Power corrupts any man, high or low, the more you get the more you want it. The ones that comes to mind is Robespierre during the French revolution, he was like that. In the end they shopped his head of, interested?
@Tralgit Saying that someone "knows" what you're arguing to be true is not a convincing argument, even if they did "know" it a few thousand years ago.
If a government has a leader, it's not a democracy. Once again, please look up the word "democracy."
Saying that power corrupts any man is an argument for communism. I don't agree with the claim that power necessarily corrupts, but if I did, Communism would be the ideal solution since it gives equal power to everyone.
@meritocratic1337 Keep dreaming pal, the real world is very different. Stop watching these silly cartoons and read some history books like " The Gulag Archipel " than we talk, no you are just an echo of some college professor who hasn't been outside his hometown.
@meritocratic1337 Majority rule only becomes mob rule. Communism is a fraud since its the classic bait & switch that results in the tyranny of the Party in power. With Communism comes censorship, thought control, mass murder, dictatroship & death. The world can do better without it.
@meritocratic1337 Read Solzhenitsyn, Orwell, Makow and a host of others who've documented the crimes of the Communist regimes for almost a hundred years. Theres not enough space here to list them all.
@ChristWillReturn Sorry, but I'm not reading your list of books unless you can give me a reason why I should be persuaded by them, e.g., give me /one/ of their arguments as to why communism necessarily leads to bad consequences. And I'm not interested in some specific bad thing a communist did. It has to be a result of their communism. Give me a person or culture of any ideology, and I can give you a bad deed, or a list of bad deeds, which they have done.
@meritocratic1337 "You can say anything you like, but I have the right to shoot you for it". Vladimir Lenin
That quote exemplifies one of the common denominators that all Marxist regimes utilize to destroy opponents & kill or brutalize all dissenters who complain or oppose their regimes. Communism is fraught with fallacies that were never intended to be a working economic or social system. It was designed to trigger civil wars, eliminate religion & crush all dissent . Marxism is a fraud.
@ChristWillReturn You have a quote from someone who self-identified as Marxist, advocating violent censorship. Then you assert that all Marxists support that idea, which they don't. Then you claim that Communism was never meant to work as a social/economic reform (irrelevant and false), but that it was designed to cause chaos (irrelevant and absurd). What some people wanted to use the idea for has nothing to do with whether the idea is a good one worth exploring.
@Anekantavad Those are both prime examples of sources that Gramsci used to create cultural subversion. So there are no attempts to end Due Process or impose "thought crimes" or censorship? There is no agenda to shut down Christianity in education or on public property? Gosh no cultural Marxism there nope...duh. I suppose there were no Communist atrocities or infanticides these past 50 years either right? Orwell was right. Marxists can lie out of both sides of their mouths all at the same time.
@Anekantavad Preposterous. Orwell despised totalitarianism which is utterly the gist of Marx goals. Again you lie. Probably you lie to yourself inadvertantly since Marxists claim that truth is only relevant to power. Such a malignant smugness belies every totalitarians mindset. So do also you deny that the Communists murdered millions without a trial, tortured millions more & detained tens of millions inside labor camps to be used as slaves? Do you agree with Mao's claim that humans are chattel?
@thoughtcrime1933 More specifically it is Freemason in origin which also partially picked up the same Utopian thesis from Sir Francis Bacon book, "The New Atlantis" along with the Zionist Kaballah.
I also hate Political Correctness, and I'm not a left winger, but this video is mostly bullshit.
I KNOW that most universities have a Marxists like ideology, and that liberalism is in the core of every campus, but trying to connect any ideology contrary or against social conservatism as Marxism and political correctness is bullshit.
What really happened is that these guys abducted almost anything anti-right and claimed it its own, to get all the people with in it.
Left and right do not exist. They do not explain the two sides of the political spectrum properly.
Before the 20th century were classic liberalism and conservativism. This is not included in this video, but are both confined to the current political system.
What we today call right and left are really classic liberalism (conservative/patriots) and totalitarian fascism (socialism), which seeks to destroy the current political system (democracy).
@cafeturkie What does that have to do with what I said? Does that means that if you are not pro nationalism or pro "western culture", whatever the hell that even means is equal to be a totalitarian fascist?.
I'm sorry, but I'm completely lost with your response, I don't see the connection anywhere with what I said.
I know that left or right do not exist, and in fact, contrary to your beliefs, I know that there aren't just 2 sides on the political spectrum.
Why is KKK leader David Duke one of the associated links in the description box? What does that say about this video or its uploader or the people who made it?
They were Jewish in the same way Marx was. ie only racially. Marx was born Jewish but brought up a Lutheran. Are you seriously telling us that all the 'Jews' in Stalin's cabinet were practising Jews?? That's really desperate.
Stalin wanted to continue the Holocaust, and built gas chambers and everything. But died just before he could give the orders.
If you hate Jews just come out and say it. But don't engage in conspiracy theories. You look even more absurd.
A table made up in 1918, by Robert Wilton, corespondent of the London Times in Russia, shows at that time there were 384 commissars including 2 Negroes, 13 Russians, 15 Chinamen, 22 Armenians and more than 300
Jews. Of the latter number 264 had come from the United States since the
downfall of the Imperial Government. - U.S. National Archives. (1919). Record Group 120: Records of the American Expeditionary Forces, June 9.
"...Communists cannot be anything but outspoken enemies of anti-Semitism. We fight anti-Semites by the
strongest methods in the Soviet Union. Active Anti-Semites are punished by death under law."- Josef Stalin (Gregor Aronson. (1949). Soviet Russia and the Jews. New York: American Jewish League Against Communism.)
Now, i have fully referenced my 'conspiracy theories', care to do so your gobbledygook about Stalin and holocaust?
And no i don't hate jews, but i call a spade a spade
A) Stalin was a mass murderer, one of the biggest in history. Also a liar. The writers you quote are not wrong, but that doesn't mean Stalin wasn't a liar...!
B) Didn't see the table. Your use of Stalin as a credible 'witness' is absurd, therefore irrelevant. You don't even know about the purges of the '20s or '30s.
You also haven't proved the writers I quoted are wrong, so until you do, the rest of this is irrelevant.
A table made up in 1918, by Robert Wilton, corespondent of the London Times in Russia, shows at that time there were 384 commissars including 2 Negroes, 13 Russians, 15 Chinamen, 22 Armenians and more than 300

downfall of the Imperial Government. - U.S. National Archives. (1919). Record Group 120: Records of the American Expeditionary Forces, June 9.
C) Fascism was borne of the left, starting with radical French thinkers of the 18th century. The French Revolution very quickly descended into tyranny, simply because of the basis of its ideology.
Then Marx came along a few decades later.
D) The early Zionists were socialists and Israel was founded on collectivism. The Jews in Russia or Europe you speak of were of the Jewish race, not faith. There's a diffference.
@GriefTourist No, I think they still haven't comprehended that Google's video service is going to shut down. Because there this video has been for a long time, its URL being better known than this one.
"When dissidents become too annoying, call them fascists, Nazis or anti-Semitic. That association would, repeated often enough, become a reality in public opinion" - Stalin's directive of 1943

200 million Japanese died from America's nuclear attacks. Obviously, Americans are the villains.
5 million people died in the Christian Crusades. Obviously, Christians are the villains.
15 million people died in Hitler's holocaust. Hitler was a vegetarian. Obviously vegetarians are the villains.
Obviously guilt by association is a valid argument: A socialist country killed people, therefore, people who support socialism are evil. Herp derp.

ROFLOL!!! There has never been a population of 200 million Japanese at any one time!!!!
Those bombs were launched after 6 years of world war and Japan had colonised E.China, Indonesia, Philippines etc.etc. and refused to back down.
5 million for the Crusader wars?? O_0
Another howler.
The Crusades were launched after 450 years of jihad, where Islam had conquered significant parts of Christendom and caused the onset of the Dark Ages.

@cafeturkie
*Oops, that's 200 thousand. My mistake.
If you think socialism and fascism are the same thing, what you need is a dictionary, not discussion. You're simply ignorant of what the words mean.
meritocratic1337 8 months ago
@meritocratic1337 1
Seriously, I'm getting tired of this.
This had a great impact on a lifelong socialist by the name of Benito Mussolini.
cafeturkie 8 months ago
@meritocratic1337 2
Seriously, a dictionary for complex political theory?
This is exactly why there's so much misunderstanding.
In the run up to WWII, anyone who refused Stalin's authority was referred to as a 'fascist'. But Stalin was just as much a racist as Hitler.
Stalin built death camps and wanted to carry out a second Holocaust, line up the Jewish Red Army officers in Red Square and have them shot, but he died just before he executed his plans.
cafeturkie 8 months ago
@meritocratic1337
Fascism/Dictatorship: preservation of aryan race.
cafeturkie 8 months ago
@cafeturkie
You're making strawmen.
meritocratic1337 8 months ago
@meritocratic1337
Fascism defined.
cafeturkie 8 months ago
@cafeturkie

Tralgit 8 months ago
@Tralgit I'm sorry, I don't know which comment you are responding to. What are the same?
And technocracy and technocrats have nothing to do with socialism. I'm not quite sure what you're on about. You may want to look up the meaning of "technocracy." By the way, that's not meant as an insult. I don't know why when I suggest someone look up the meaning of a word they are misusing they become offended. Words have agreed upon meanings, and you just aren't familiar with this one. Just Wikipedia it.
meritocratic1337 8 months ago
@meritocratic1337 You mean a government run by technicians and specialists? That's what all these " ism " are claiming, they know what's best for the common people and they will tell you how your life is going to be. Is that your imagination of a " good " society? Communism and Fascism claim the same, their " leaders " knew what was good for " their " people.
Tralgit 8 months ago
@Tralgit Technocracy does not mean that every decision is made by specialists. It means that people who are professionals in a field vote on matters in that field instead of the public who are not. Things like tax increases are decided by economists instead of people who read about economics in the news and on Wikipedia, like me and (I presume) you. Do you think you can predict economic changes as well as an economist? I don't think you could and I don't think I could.
meritocratic1337 8 months ago
@Tralgit Also, communism makes no such claim. Fascism does, however.
meritocratic1337 8 months ago
@meritocratic1337 Reality is different, try visting the former communist states and you will see there is no difference. communism killed more people than fascism.
Tralgit 8 months ago
@Tralgit It's really a shame that people think that, on the topic of government almost exclusively, the existence of something which didn't work once proves that everything like it (or that just shares its name) cannot work. It's so much a fallacy, I don't know if there's even a commonly used name for it. It's just that poor of an argument, and it would never stand in any other context. Try arguing "I broke up with my girlfriend so monogamy can't work" and see if it makes sense.
meritocratic1337 8 months ago
@meritocratic1337 Read history, the Romans already knew that a person gets " power hungry " if they get too much success, read the part about the victory parades when a general came back from conquering. Why do you think most democracy have a rule of two term leadership. Power corrupts any man, high or low, the more you get the more you want it. The ones that comes to mind is Robespierre during the French revolution, he was like that. In the end they shopped his head of, interested?
Tralgit 8 months ago
@Tralgit Saying that someone "knows" what you're arguing to be true is not a convincing argument, even if they did "know" it a few thousand years ago.
If a government has a leader, it's not a democracy. Once again, please look up the word "democracy."
Saying that power corrupts any man is an argument for communism. I don't agree with the claim that power necessarily corrupts, but if I did, Communism would be the ideal solution since it gives equal power to everyone.

@ChristWillReturn Sorry, but I'm not reading your list of books unless you can give me a reason why I should be persuaded by them, e.g., give me /one/ of their arguments as to why communism necessarily leads to bad consequences.

ChristWillReturn 8 months ago 34

ChristWillReturn 4 months ago
@ChristWillReturn Orwell never said any such thing. Orwell was a Marxist.
Anekantavad 4 months ago
@Anekantavad Preposterous. Orwell despised totalitarianism which is utterly the gist of Marx goals. Again you lie. Probably you lie to yourself inadvertantly since Marxists claim that truth is only relevant to power. Such a malignant smugness belies every totalitarians mindset. So do also you deny that the Communists murdered millions without a trial, tortured millions more & detained tens of millions inside labor camps to be used as slaves? Do you agree with Mao's claim that humans are chattel?

I also hate Political Correctness, and I'm not a left winger, but this video is mostly bullshit.
I KNOW that most universities have a Marxists like ideology, and that liberalism is in the core of every campus, but trying to connect any ideology contrary or against social conservatism as Marxism and political correctness is bullshit.
What really happened is that these guys abducted almost anything anti-right and claimed it its own, to get all the people with in it.
Yetanotherytuser 8 months ago

Left and right do not exist. They do not explain the two sides of the political spectrum properly.
Before the 20th century were classic liberalism and conservativism. This is not included in this video, but are both confined to the current political system.
What we today call right and left are really classic liberalism (conservative/patriots) and totalitarian fascism (socialism), which seeks to destroy the current political system (democracy).

A) Stalin is an authoritative figure when talking about the Soviet union during his reign.
b) You ignored the table listing the ethnicity of early commissars
c) Fascism is of the right, antifa are radically left, and so is Marxism, which fascism was designed to oppose.
d) I love Jews now, so sorry about insinuating that they're evil.
The early communists were often Jewish, but that is not the fault of Jews as a group, and many Jews especially Zionists opposed it.

B) Didn't see the table. Your use of Stalin as a credible 'witness' is absurd, therefore irrelevant. You don't even know about the purges of the '20s or '30s.
You also haven't proved the writers I quoted are wrong, so until you do, the rest of this is irrelevant.
