NVIDIA GeForce GT 120...horrible GPUs. GT 120 is 9500GT which is mediocre. 4x is just wasteful, filled up all the pci sloths. Get ATI 4870 if you want gaming.

When you buy a Mac Pro, you're paying for strength and design. PCs are much cheaper than Macs for sure, but all of them use ugly wiring inside of the case, instead of the Mac Pro's full socket motherboard. You can throw part configurations at me all day long, but my goal is to buy a Mac Pro once I save up enough this summer. And no, you're not going to change my mind. I will still use Windows in bootcamp for games, but all my art will be created under Mac OS X.

Right mac pro supports 32gb of ram, and can ship with 32gb installed. if you run shitos (sorry windows) it will take a nice 32GB if its 64-bit. Windows supports over 256gb of physical adressable ram. You can run games on a mac pro under windows with the GTX280 on the apple store, no comment on the 9600GT in the MBP, but i think thats DX10. And i dont give a shit about the PS3, cos i want a mac, not a games console. So stop pretending to know information when you dont.

If that's the case why should Macs exist? The main thing about Macs is one, they are much easier to use; two, they are much more stable and almost never freezes; three, they don't require as much HARDWARE AS PCs to do the same things.

PC has GTX 295 & ATI 4870 x2 for gaming. apple has 8800 GT

PC has intel i7 965 $1k CPU(8 cores with hyperthreading); apple uses server cpus. 2 xeon so they can have 8 cores...horribly expensive. $2100+ for 2 xeon 3.2ghz.

DDR2 is old, especially DDR2 800. $50 for 4gb. apple charges $500

1tb HD costs $87, apple charge $300

I don't blame apple charges for premium dollars, there are a lot of unread and uninformed people.

The Mac pro is a Workstation first, thus the 8 cores, thus the Nvidia Quadro upgrade, thus the fact that you can run any software on a mac, including a precious games.
