I honestly don't know except that it would very clear with ability to cut through the mix as it does have some edge to it. No effects, I played thru a '73 Silverface Vibrolux, and plugged the amp into a Celestion Gold Alnico 12" speaker for even more sparkly tones. This pickup is brand new and only tried 2 prototype versions last weekend, this is the one I liked the best. In a Tele in middle position it sure would give you a sweet middle pos tone similar to stock single coil neck would.

I'm curious. What do you think this would sound like in a telecaster in the neck position? Its a fabulous pick-up, BTW. I'm assuming its through something transparent like a Fender amp with no effects?
