  • song rocks. Thanks.

  • What rock and roll is supposed to be, man!

  • Suck a fucking AWESOME song!

  • does anyone no where the video with the wicked ass guitar solo is?

  • they should make a guitar hero : extreme

straight away nuno blares out the speakers the plastic guitar would melt!

  • @MrShaheen putting extreme on a game for drop outs and musically talentless people(rock band and guitar hero) is degrading to extreme

  • I only just found this band and already theyre my favourite band.

  • this guy FUCKING ROCKS AT GUITAR

  • This video was filmed in Baltimore, Maryland at the legendary club Hammerjacks. RIP Hammerjacks I will always miss you. At least I have one consolation, that is my husband. I met him there and we have been together ever since. Thank you.

  • i sang this to my mom 10 minutes ago and she was like "okay stay home :)"

  • I've never heard it - somehow I'm glad - wow, if my son saw me then - he wouldn't listen to me now - jease, I look gay - I'm the one on the board.

  • @johnny666999er sweet!!

  • I don't wanna freakin' go to school tomorrow! :(((((

  • i have decided that when i have kids, they wont listen to this shitty new repetetive shit they call music nowadays, they will listen to 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's music

  • i love the begining of the track he really plays that guitar its awesome

  • thumbs up if you wish you could be a teen in the 70s,80s or 90s instead of the twentieth century... ugh.

  • @hhsdance94 xD all of those decades were in the 20th century, i think you mean the 21st

  • @UnchainTheNight1 WHO CARES! you get my point =)

  • @hhsdance94

    ... 70's, 80's, and 90's was the 20th century, bro.

  • @ZachWasHere + 00's, 10's, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's in my opinion=)

  • @hhsdance94 ahhhhh you bet! born in 1994?

  • @hhsdance94: Thumbs up if you WAS a teen in that time period. The things you regret you didn't do.

  • @hhsdance94 dude the 80s were incredible groung up

  • today, monday august 30th, is my first day of summer as a senior. game on.

  • Haha it's my first day of school today and I just loooked "I don't wanna go to school today" Having no idea this song exsisted.

    Boy was I happy!!! :)

  • The original video for this was better. I was DJing a club in Dover, NH and the original video was up against some local home-town singer from Dover on MTV Friday Night Fights (or whatever it was called). A friend recorded it (on Beta!) and brought the two videos down to the club, which we played on the video screen. Lots of babes in bikinis in the original video - no concert footage.

  • @SurfingTrucker if you have a facebook account type in "Life on the v66...they have it! My friend dated a girl that's in it. Used to see Gary all the time when he worked at the Meadow Glenn Mall in Medford Mass. I'm from Everett and used to bust his balls when they re made this...i used to ask him "What, you're going for the Unchained soound?" lol he would laugh but i knew he was pissed! Remember they were called the dream when they first came out? TAKE ME BACK TO 85!!!!! The best summer ever!!

  • Thanks for uploading this video, reminds me when I was 16. Love the song

  • hells ya right out of my state awesome band favorite son by them

  • Loved this song in my first year of community college in 1989-90.

  • rebellous adlocense......hw i long fr doz dys....

  • Nuno rocks.

  • @vivipo97 Talented & hot as hell to!

  • AWWWWWWHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHHAHAHHAH YESSSSSSSS MASSACHUSETTS

  • man I wish I was born in the 70's so I could have been a teen in the 80's...... oh well

  • @matt50210

    hell yeah me too

  • HELL YEAHH!!!!

  • 80's music kicked ass!

  • 80's music rocks!

  • fuck ya 80s.

  • '80's rule!!

  • ...-headbang- :P

  • Billy was the first kid in his class to get daisy chained by Warrant... Er, Extreme.

  • I need to change it from school to work.

  • I am in a program were you play songs and i have to sing this one :D

  • I DON'T WANNA GO TO F*CKING SCHOOL TODAY

    My holiday is over. Fml.

  • Extreme had way better songs than any of that crap Gary did with Van Halen.

  • This should be EVERYONE's daily anthem!

  • School sux since the prof whom I idolized left the job and moved to another country with my other prof whom I was also deeply infatuated with sexually. This blows. I don't think I can cope. I just dream every night to be sandwiched between them in post coital bliss. Awe......

  • I wsed to hang out with them in the early 90s my girlfriends (now wife) Best friend was going out with thier manager J.T. Great times and memories they were all so laid back even after they made it big.

  • @mrbobsshow ...the manager...her first name was Joanne, correct? My boyfriend at the time used to do their pics...before they got famous...

  • at my school when this song came out...some guys blasted it over the speaker system....we had the those telephone systems at are school...lmao..it was funny never caught them the entire song played.

  • no beginning solo wtf?

  • so...good mix!!! good guitarsss, melodiess, great extremeee!!

  • Extreme = Living Colour, Van Halen & Queen in a blender :-)

  • nah, cuz that would sound terrible lol! but there good

  • i have the orignal ep from when Extreme was "The Dream"- good job! I MISS the old members of that band.. xo

  • For me nuno sounds Van Halen for moments, then I hear some Bryan May things, and some times y hear cc devil, like in the first album, like sometimes I hear Steven Tyler in Gary, but I really like when he sounds like himself, like in songs like pornograffitti or warheads, songs that has nothing to do with the '80s or '90s but with Nuno sound, the new songs are full of that, they are pure extreme thing

  • Nuno vs. EVH? The difference is Nuno keeps creating music!!!! Don't get me wrong but EVH needs to get off his lazy ass and do what he's good at!!!! I love EVH but it's been a long time and he can't keep using Sammy as an excuse. DLR isn't pumping out songs for the reunited VH!!!! Nuno is a great guitarist and has great work ethics, like Satriani. You can't stay on top without new riffs.

  • i just find this again. i remember hearing this at my brothers place when i was like 10years old. lots of good memories.

  • This is the version without the insane solo... still AMAZING.

  • White Lion...?

  • If my kid sang this to me before school, I would let them stay home and watch Bar Bar all day long.

  • @Weazelmania wish my parents were like tht

  • Great song by one of my favorites growing up. And, yet another reminder... I'm getting old.

  • me too. thats weird.

  • Reminds me a lot of Unchained, by VH

  • Really sounds like Van Halen... Is it off Extreme's first album? VH family...

  • Yes! First album!!

  • Thanx!

  • this was filmed in baltimore

in a place called hammer jack's

  • My anthem....!

  • the great thing about this song is that my dad helped with the music video XD

  • this song was written for my wife her mutha was a part of the band back then

  • This should have been a hit... it was a great sing-a-long that was around at the right time...

And you guys that are a dissing the lyrics, go and listen to everything under the sun parts 1 to 3 and tell me that the only decent member is nuno, that piece of music even rivaled queen and the beatles music imo and the lyrics are very heart-felt...

  • Where Can I download this?...

  • I tunes. Support the band

  • Man... I so wish I lived in the 80s instead of now. Best music, best times.

  • @ammuine Yes, it was good music.. Great, actually. But it was even better in the '70s.

  • @ammuine 100% agree!

  • @ammuine As someone who lived in the 80's

Best time to be alive !

  • @ammuine Fuck yeah , everyone tells me the 80's are lame and cheesy , well by listening to the music and watching the movies i can tell how awesome it was.

  • @love2punk IT WAS THE GREATEST TIME TO BE ALIVE!!!!

  • @johnnierottenjr Yeah thats what it seems like.

  • @ammuine ....80's was awesome.....I remember buying albums then based on what the covers looked like and the name of the band! Our local radio stations never played anything but the top 20 and 80's pop, no MTV or anything like it....so on the basis of album covers and band names I purchased......Maiden Japan EP...Too Fast For Love....Extreme (self titled) Ratt (self titled) and Look What The Cat Dragged In ......without ever hearing a song first or knowing anything about the bands...!!!!

  • @ammuine You are sooo right!!!

  • @ammuine The past always looks rosie. But usually isn't. Still, the 80's was an amazing time to grow up as a kid. Not so much as an adult :).

  • @ammuine Being a teenage rock fan in the 80s was amazing. Great days.

  • @ammuine

    No.

Now we have more music, lots of awesome stuff, and we can look back on the awesome music of the past.

  • Love this song. :)

  • To me, this song is about the mind-numbing effects of the education system that encourages rote memorization of facts and figures - useless to human development

  • I do remember to put this song and sing it to my mum!!! hahahahha

  • Look at him doing the "humping the air dance" haha

  • When they were called "The Dream" the original video was filmed at Medford High School. Massachusetts. I used to see Gary when he worked at the Meadow Glenn Mall (same town) It does sound like Van Halens "Unchained" though. He used to laugh when I called him on it

  • I remember the original video on V66, would love to see that again.

  • Awesome 5/5

  • i love the guitar in this song...the lyrics are stupid tho

  • beacuse you a geek

  • What Fags. haha

  • unheard of legends is more like it.

  • Exactly look at their fanbase!!! Their all in denial!!!

  • DUDE fuck you bro their singer, bassist, and drummer are FUCKING GODS!!! holy shit you are a dumbass mother fucker i can't wait to see you irl and kill you. PS their guitarists sucks balls....

  • the fact that you dont even know his name prooves your a douche....

Nuno could kill you in your sleep with a pick.

  • haha what a fanboy that was obviously a joke his fuckin name is nuno bettencourt. FUCK YOU HAHA!!! seriously why the hell would i call the rest of the band good when they are all pieces of SHIT (except nuno)

  • pump your brakes kid. Nuno has more skill in his pinky finger than you have in your whole body.

  • thats funny i bet i am better at guitar than you FAG

  • Sadly though... he's about 5'1

  • excellent

  • is there any YouTube video of the introduction guitar solo?!

  • idk. but ill put a response 2 this video with that k?

  • My all time favorite song! ... Still have that concert tee from '89. Even the old V66 video of this song was cool back in '85... Great post!!!

  • Great song, top band. End of.

  • What year did this song come out?

  • I think 88' or 89'. It was on their first album.

  • I was born in '85 and I really wish bands still made music like this.

  • Hell yeah. I couldn't agree more. I loved their first album because it was about kids and their problems pretty much. Extreme was the best during their era.

  • Nice

  • i love extreme

    and i love Nuno Bettencourt

  • massachusetts funk-rock-metal-pop bands ftw!

  • una super cancion!!!!!!!!

  • This is by far the best video ever seen in the last two seconds!

  • so is your parapalegic, cock smoking mother!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Are you kidding? Peter Criss had the same stupid ass drum beat for how many fucking albums?

  • Comment removed

  • Not the same drug that loser Peter Criss was on. A fucking wind up monkey did better than P.C.

  • Comment removed

  • What are like 4 yrs old still playing the Kiss board game? I think you might want to read Gene Simmons Autobiography and you'll then know that P.C. was indeed a drug user. Him and Ace both. As far as kicking anyones ass behind the drummset, please dude...educate yourself. peter Criss did nothing more than simple 4/4 jazz beats...boring!!!

  • i cant go to school tomorrow

i got the stanky leg ugggh

  • The public demand for extreme's so called "funk metal" was very short lived!!

plus---their last album being this hippie, love thy neighbor--- anti-war bullshit , didn't help this group either!!!

This band was lost in their direction and their music.

  • i wish extreme had done more than 2 good albums. the third album is half good. Then the rest is just shite.

They shoulda stuck to their earlier sound, porno was awesome funk metal

  • Wow, I never saw this video before. Great song! I always remembered the first one they did for this song, with all the high school kids. I remember my sister and her friend wanting to go to the taping to be in it. Wonder if that video is on here somewhere...

  • I was there the nite they shot that video!! lt was shot at Hammerjacks (RIP) and Alice Cooper was also there signing autographs and premiering his then-new album Trash. As for the Extreme show, l was standing next to the stage but some 6' dude was standing in front of me. And as for the video, they lip-synched Mutha twice to get some video footage then played it live near the end. All in all a good show.

  • so coooooool => inconnus / dousseur de vivre

  • wheres the tapping intro. there was a long tapping intro for this song. it was about 30 - 50 seconds

  • wow, you're a fucking moron!!!!!!

  • Oh sorry, I forgot I was talking to a 7 year old.

    wow, you're a stoopid butthead!!!!!!

    How's that? ^^
