  • "No more dude" - I'll say "No shit dude"

  • thats a gen 2 cummins for ya when its cold

  • american quality.

  • still love this!!

  • sounds like she's got a misfire

  • only 30 degreesF? are you kidding, thats not even cold!! my 12 valve starts in -25 no problem w/ being plugged in

  • its a snorting dolphin

  • lol yer gonna flood her mine takes only a few sec to start up in like 10 or lower degrees

  • @Ether506 You can't flood a vehicle without a carb....

  • sounds like my truck...:)

  • @vegoildieselguy lucky man. :)

  • it has been between -30 and -40 and our 24 valve 2000 dodge 2500 cummins has a hard time.. but fires up after about 10 minutes lol!

  • "No more dude"

  • whoops now the battery's dead lmfao

  • wooow, im bored yea me too, lets go video tape me wreking my truck, ok!!

  • what was timing set at?

  • what do you expect its a dodge

  • if your running so much fuel why would you even try to start it with out having it pluged in.

  • thing sounds like an old 7.3 idi turning over

  • Hate to see them try and start that in Canada, if 30 is cold, try -30 Celsius haha

  • @ippielb not to bad its only -22 try -75 and haven to work outside cus the stupid military said so...stupid

  • it hurts me to watch this video.

  • Damn, that was a good attempt, it was REALLY close to firing up :-)...

  • buy a Ford

  • thats a pos dodge for ya

  • You said like 30* F ?? Sounds timing has slipped possibly. Should start no prob at 30* un-plugged with no grid heaters even

  • You almost had it...

  • it would have started with some good batteries

  • I'm more then positive he took the grid heater off. I did

  • you just need timing, and adjust your idle.. you will be able to hit the key at any temperature with no worries...

  • Plug it in you idiot!

  • dont ever crank on the starter that long. it will burn it up.

  • There goes that starter

  • nah, there goes the battery...haha

  • the diesel might have gelled up

  • ooo nearly

  • she's puffing out smoke rings

  • Marlboro truck...

  • I've never seen a 12 valve start that bad lol. Or not start at all for that matter, mines just a couple cranks and it goes, not even plugged in

  • Mine never doesn't start either? maybe he has super high timing or something

  • @jameson1333

    Diesels don't have timing

  • @Inline6boost .....are you an idiot yes they do. that what the CHIPS do..they increase fuel and timing

  • @jameson1333.... fuel timing yes but not spark ignition since they are compression combustion.

  • @Inline6boost ....why would I be referring to spark plug ignition on a video of a diesel. I drive a diesel, I know they don't have spark plugs lol. its a 12 valve too for the record..increased timing makes for a hard start in the winter

  • @jameson1333 ..... Yeah I forgot about the fuel timing. I just assumed you were talking about spark timing since when most people refer to engine timing as spark timing. Haha

  • @Inline6boost The fuel is timed, and the cam is 'timed' to the crank.

  • i'd love to breathe that smoke in

  • funziona a carbone sto cesso ?

  • did you have a block warmer?

  • advanced timing is a bitch in the winter on the old 97

  • How cold?

  • Like 30 lol

  • Jesus, my uncles fires right up at -10, it is a 92 12 valve

  • @FordsSuck95 Yeah the First Gens. fire right up when you just tap the key.

  • @Explorerman88 30 should start no problem without being plugged in. Let the grid heaters cycle a few times.

  • @Explorerman88 not too cold

  • next time your in town buy a starter and some batteries

  • Wow. This is exactly what my truck used to do. Turns out I had a tiny hole in the supply line that was letting air into the lines. Is the truck still having problems? What is the timing set at and is he still running a grid heater?

  • We had the grid heater off for our custom intake and twins and freakin high timing with a crapload of fuel and that is why it wouldnt start.

  • still gets me goin, man LOL

  • did you give it gas?

  • thst is really fucking bad for the whole truck not just the starter.

  • Cool cranking sound

  • Wow... this is a first. A Cummins that won't start in the cold. Better get that looked at!!

  • @sfzdrums yeah seriously somethings wrong

  • Try charger the battery , diesel engines needs really strong batteries to start in the cold

  • First Cummins i have found that won`t start

  • Yeah, mine isn't starting either. I feel your pain.

  • GLOW PLUGS??? R u serious?!?! Dude cummins dont have glow plugs, they have a heater grid in the intak which has been removed on this truck for a custon aluminum one.

  • still it's used for the same perpos, why would you remove something that helps the truck start up by something that makes it harder to start? Still nice truck though

  • Well the stock intake flows like crap. We custom made one that flows like 3-400% more air. Cooled off the motor like 400 degrees. Just starts rough.

  • What year is his truck?

  • It is a 1997.

  • If it has no heater grid, are you surprised it won't start? Does it have a block heater?

  • Nope not suprized at all. But who gives a crap when ya got that much horses, just give er some juice.

  • White smoke!! you got some glow plug problems, it's a Cummins should start right up (if well maintaned)

  • yea but u dont no whats done to this truck... Its no stocker...

  • What has been done to it, that shouldn't be a reason for bad starting like that

  • Tons of stuff!!!! Its top secret tho.......

  • yea no shit! this ones got tons of goodies on it!...

  • HAHA your truck is probably stock, unlike this one.

  • Dude, he has a problem, it should have started right up, it gets down to -10 here and our one 1994 dodge is a 12 valve and it starts up fine
