WOW That sick, twisted larabee was a hard core racist right up to the end. I would not want his kind any where near my community. He is poison through and through. His hatred has seared his mind. That is a disease that cannot be cured. What's more frightening than his character is: there are still people just like him in our midst. That kind of thinking will never die.
dars2607, I am not fond of the US court system either, but the way it's set up, is if you have a 'hung jury' that is holding only by one vote, you switch out the dissenter; to get another opinion and reach a verdict.
Shocked how it ends. Yet that is why LHOP was the best show ever. It didnt end like a sugar coated candy heart from the Olsens General Store! And they didnt make Michael Landon the only star of the series. They hired the best talent and let them shine too. Very smart of the producers and that there seemed to be no big diva egos.
@CatpurrRobertaBobbi as far as I know the only producer who actually mattered was the executive porducer Michael Landon himself as noone dared say no to him or if they did like Alf Kjellin they didn't stay for long. Kjellin was fired in the middle of shooting the episode Town Party-Country Party. And Landon just picked up directing it where Kjellin left off like nothing happened LOL
I'm glad someone noticed the judge's remark about "pressing business elsewhere." Like he was talking down the good folks of Walnut Grove as if he was a notch higher than these "hayseeds".
Yet, Joe Kagan proved more enlightenment than the judge about justice. All the judge could do is keep getting flustered. His ruling was only an intelligent one after Mr. Kagan spoke his peace.
Maybe the world would be a better place if people like Larabee didn't look upon those labeled DIFFERENT with hatred in their hearts. But it looks like Larabee is about to end up alone with nobody. Well I guess that's what happens when you think only of yourself and no one else. I'm glad his wife and kids left him. In fact the world would be better off without all the racist idiots like Larabee hating for no reason. It was all he ever knew. His sentence was a fair one on paying back the people.
The world would certainly be a better place without people like Larabee... so much hatred and anger for NO reason whatsoever. What a horrible way to live your life.
This is so weird - because the jury is not entirely conclusive, they just remove the one person that says something different from the rest. Is that justice? What's the whole point of a jury then?
if that's really how they did it back then ...you're right they could just keep getting rid of jurer's who didn't agree and replacing them with people who wanted to convict them.

The lamp hasn't even been knocked down by Andy/the horse.
The lamp's glass didn't break from the heat, So the only person who did it could be...
Mr. Larabee the ****** ****** who burned the barn.
After Watching
