In the Afghanistan level there is a reference to Lilley, the driver who wanted to get footage of Iraq, when the building is bombed saying "The network will pay for this type of stuff". The manner in which he said it even sounds like Lilley.

I was there the first time and the second. The mini series is WAY too harsh on the officers and a few of the SNCO's, but is a pretty good reflection on the Marines, the Marines NCO's and the quality of the personnel of the Corps, as a whole. Other than a few, who were innappropriately named personnally, or have since made their names known, outside of our Corps, I think it shows us in a fair, and frankly appropriate kight. This is the finest group I have seen in my career...bar none.

If this mini-series adaptation was based on 100% truth that almost turned into a BAD situation. Godfather's battalion seems to advance headlong into battle, but didn't know the Republican Guard had set up tanks to defend the airfield?

The British paratrooper unit should have arrived first. At 1:22 you can see why. They had A-10 Thunderbolt II escorts which could shred a tank like paper.

What did the Marines have? Humvees. Maybe a handheld anti-tank weapon, but like ice man said, they'd be dead
