This project's turnout is absolute incredible. I would consider my life's crowning achievement had I built it. Well done. That being said, I am fully confident in saying YOU ARE A BOLD FACED LIAR TO CLAIM THIS IS YOUR FIRST PROJECT!!! Regardless... Amazing work!
@porw0004 Although I've been a carpenter my entire life (mostly metal stud and drywall) this was the first woodworking project I've done since a small jewelery box in highschool about 30 years ago
I've been woodworking for nigh on 55 years. Iif my first attempt had been anywhere near this standard, (despite the design), then I would be in a class way above Krenov by now! I won't say this isn't your first project, but I think you know more about woodwork than you''re letting on! :) Especially as you built your own house.
@woodlist Yes I have been a carpenter my entire life (commercial and residential building) but as far as woodworking this was my first attempt other than a jewelry box in high school woodshop
Looks very nice . I've been toying with the idea of building a mission style dining table to go with my mission themed new home.( I've priced the simply amish store ones yikes! ) I like the 45's and I was planning to do the same .
Appreciate the comment, thx. If theres any way I can help, I'd be more than happy to. Some of the chair building is shown in my other videos and I have some videos of the project that were never put on u-tube, but I would put them on if it would help with your project.
Very nice workmanship, but the design looks like something out of the 1980's. Why would you do a 45 on the corners? And then those diagonal slats on the top with the tile insets! Yikes! But like I said, excellent workmanship, questionable design. Good work.
I am making a dining suite in the 1920's A&C style. What's wrong with retro-making, if that's what the guy likes? It's his house. He's got to live with it.

Neat idea putting the tiles in the table-top. Makes a good set-down for hot serving dishes. I must remeber that. I am designing a table!
Thanks.. Know the feeling about the chairs. A real B**l-buster! Well done for a first attempt.

Well I appreciate your opion and your comment on workmanship, but again I was using all scrap wood, and it was my first attempt at making furniture.
