Seems like marines didn't have any stimpack tho.

And microing no stimpacked marines against banelings are pointless when zerglings are chasing with them.

And, this game was prolly during beta era. Which means everyone was a noob back then.

the other day I had a "platinum" level player call me a noob for using banelings to counter his mass marine 3 barracks rush... I was like "yea, using the unit meant to counter masses of light units against a player using masses of light units... yep guess im a noob." haha

@fof616 I don't suppose you'd expect to see 4 banelings take out that many marines like that. I for one found it quite surprising. When people do use banelings, they have quite a lot, so it's usually overkill on anything they attack. The battle looks lost for the protoss and zerg until all the marines suddenly die. Perhaps people aren't used to how much damage banelings do. It's just luck on the zerg's part - all the marines happened to be firing at the zerglings, so couldn't stop the banelings.

@Scompty the only starcraft videos that are up on youtube are with experienced players with very nice macro - including zerg players. and they still lose like at least 70% of time. there was an interview with i think painuser and hd and he said himself that although its fun playing with zerg if i were to play in a competition with real money i would use protoss.

not 2 complain or anything but this happens pretty much all the time anyone play in ZvT, u should try to get 5 burrowed banelings where he moves all his marines, looks alot more beautiful, trust me :)

Yes,I agree with you.Come to think of it,this video is probably a lot more exciting/meaningful to me because it was a 2v2 battle and the banelings saved my teammate's main base and kept us in the game(which we eventually won).This was a game saver for us.

Had I known they were going to attack my teammate's main base,burrowing those banelings in a good position would indeed have been beautiful.

I think the opponent's reaction at the end was the icing on the cake, though:"OMFG" haha!
