  • Bo always helped me win in Tecmo Bowl

  • What could've been if not for that freak injury...but like Bo said: EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!......LIFE GOES ON!

  • Brandon Jacobs >

  • bo jackson is the only nfl rb to have two 90 yard runs; a 90 and 92. he also had an 88 yrd. run. he did that in just 4 partial seasons. you tell me who is the best???

  • One tackle ended possibly the best athlete of all time. I always wonder numbers this guy's career would have put up without that career ending injury.

  • Monster

  • did he jus run ronnie lott over?? yikes!!

  • "Instead of chasing Walter Payton's career yardage mark would Emmitt Smith be chasing Bo?"

No, of course not. That's an absurd question. He was 28 when he was injured and he had a total of 2,782, having never rushed more than 1,000 in a season.

Bo was awesome, but all the record breaking talk is idiotic. Maybe if he didn't play baseball, delay his career by refusing to play for the Bucs, graduated high school at 18 and didn't stay at Auburn for five years he would have had the time.

  • he ran for 5.4 yards per carry on shitty teams.

  • so many of the the running back legends are #34!

  • brian bosworth is a dumbass.

2:20 "he would've probably been at least one of the top 2 if not 3 running backs in the nfl"

  • This goes to show that even the greatest of men can still fall to ill-fated fate, or God if you will.

  • Course he looked good sharing a load for 8 games a year averaging 5.4 a pop on 12 carries per game.

Football Outsiders will show that Allen got the 3rd and 1's while Bo got the 3rd and 18's this explains his averages.

An overated back who couldn't block or catch and had averages based on a low workload.

If Dickerson was getting the skin 12 times a game for the years building up he'd be 6 yards a pop.

Would have been great with a high workload but please donm't think he'd going at a 5+ average.

  • @CrowenClark Eric Dickerson fumbled the ball too many times, the guy would run for 150 yards then blow the game with a fumble at the worst time. Dickerson also didn't play pro baseball.

  • pause at 1:09...bo jackson is manhandling Ronnie Lott. That shows you how much of a beast Bo really was

  • Great Athlete I take Bo over Allen anyday!!

  • YALL CHECK ME OUT MY PAGE...IAM ALL ABOUT SPORTS...BEST "WINNER" ALLTIME VIDEO IS UP RIGHT NOW.. CHECK IT OUT

  • The best in only four years....

  • i BELIEVE bo jackson could of been top 1-3 running back

  • Just win baby

  • bo isn't overrated if his career wasn't cut short i have no doubt bo nd barry neck nd neck as far as records. but hands dwn bo jackson is the most athletic running back of all time nobody can come close when it comes to athleticism at the running back position!

  • Dislike?? FUCK you..Raiders 4 Life:)

  • AHHHH OUCH OOOOOF

    Sincerely,

    # 31 @ 0:12

  • "Bo Knows". nuff said

  • I hope you guys who are talking about how overrated Bo Jackson is know that he played football as just a hobbie and not because he loved it. Baseball was his love, but the sport that was hes "hobbie" ruined his chances of ever become great. So please he your going to bash him stop and think that he is the only person ever to play in the pro bowl for the NFL and the MLB all star team. Oh yeah he also won the heismen just say

  • i havent seen a rb as big as bo jackson until BRANDON JACOBS!!!

  • @funnydude415 Pretty sure Jacobs isn't as fast though

  • why didnt bo jackson make the nfl top 100 list?

  • ALL THAT BULLSHIT YALL TALKING ABOUT MY UNCE.. IM WILLIAM GRAYSON HIS NEPHEW AND THA SHIT RUNS THREW OUR FAMILY GENES WE HAVE SOME POWERFUL DOMINATING ASS GENES AND WE ARE NATURAL FREAKS AND CANT HELP IT.. BO JUST BROUGHT HIS OUT THA BEST OUT OF ALL MY UNCLES SO YALL CAN BAG THE FUCK BACK AND YOU CAN CHECK MY HIGHLIGHT TAPE OUT ON HERE JUST TYPE IN WILIAM GRAYSON

  • @william81192 You are making your "Unce" look bad with terrible grammar and spelling. You might have dominating genes on the football field but judging by your comment you will have a great opportunity with a career flipping burgers if the football thing doesn't work out. If you are going to try to back your family members up I would first suggest you try some hooked on phonics, if not practice hearing this phrase: I would like a Mcdouble, a large fry and a coke.

  • Most overrated running back ever. Bo had zero 1000 yard seasons. He wasn't even close to the best running back on his team.

  • @lacesoutdany 5.4 a carry = overrated? what's your IQ? 6? You are the biggest chode on youtube

  • Bo Jackson had no weaknesses. He played RB but had the size and power of a Linebacker.

  • Man i wish he would have gotten like 300 carries a year while he played that would have been the shit!

  • No disrespect here, but: are we sure he never juiced?

  • I see a lot of Bo in Darren McFadden, though Bo was undoubtedly better. McFadden is on track to be one of the greats himself though.

  • Not only one of the best backs ever to wear Silver & Black... one of the best backs to ever wear any color jersey in the NFL. One of the best ever... period.

  • a few days ago my cousin said "deion sanders is the best athlete ever", and i said to him no, bo jackson is, and he said "no way dont you know deion played baseball too..".. and then i explained to him so did bo jackson, and not only did he play but he was an all star outfeilder AND pro bowl running back.. elite in both sports

  • Freakiest athlete ever

  • nfl dot com/ player/ bojackson/ 2517329/ profile

No fumbles listed on the official stats for Bo, although I've seen some links that have him listed as 11, as people have said. Rabid fanboy in Crusaderomni or NFL conspiracy? You decide!

  • @Crusaderomni Bo jackson did have 11 fumbles in his short 4 year NFL career from 1987 to 1990. in 1987 he had 2 fumbles, in 1988 he had 5, in 1989 he had 1 and in 1990 he fumbled 3 times. fyi

  • xxJOHNRambo - actually he fumbled 11 times in his career. But despite, the guy was epic, life long raider fan here!

  • 4.12 hand timed 40 yd dash time. Best of all time.

  • hes like jona lomu

  • @jamtheman3017 Yeah, he was like Lomu in 1995. the term 'Trucking you' was coined for these guys, 'cos it was like getting run over by a truck.

  • how did he only make 1 pro bowl?

  • Wow watch 1:08 he blasted Ronnie Lott

  • Bo never used steroids he didn't even like lifting weights! He talks about it in his book Bo Knows Bo

  • @brasmussen81 that is the coolest book that ive read.

  • He would of been the all time leading NFL Rusher I honestly believe.

  • @Turdman12 There is absolutely NO WAY he was going to break that record.

In 4 seasons he hadn't even rushed for 3000 yards...so he had 14 thousand yards to go

Now take into account that he was already 28 when he retired (most running backs are past their prime after 30) and his baseball career that caused him to miss half the games...it wasn't happening

So I don't know what people are talking about with all these records he would have broken hahaha

  • @RobertBalto EXACTLY. There is no way he could have broken any records because of his baseball career and his age. However, that is not to say he didn't have the talent to break the records, he certainly did.

  • Comment removed

  • @jeklardrill There's no question Bo had incredible raw tools...but there were still so many questions that were never answered. For instance, Bo only averaged 13.5 carries per game in his career. Let's assume he never gets hurt, decides to focus on football, Marcus Allen leaves and Bo is made the feature back. How would he handle pass protection? Short yardage situations? Would he have the durability to have 20+ carries per game? What happens when defenses have more film on him to study?

  • @RobertBalto Bo Jackson still has the speed to run pass them and power to run over and yes he would have the durability the thing he did the most was excercise his lungs, and he had great hands, he never fumbled not once in his carreer, short yardage power.

  • What could've been!?

  • If u ever needed an ace card in debating Bo Jackson's greatness...he starred on the saturday morning cartoon special PRO Stars...along w/ Michael Jordan & Wayne Gretzky

  • CJ2k UP WITH THESE GUYS TODAYYYY TITANNATION!!

  • Bo Jackson is the second greatest athlete of all time, right behind the best athlete of all time, Jim Thorpe...

  • @SeraphsSword Jim Thorpe wasnt rele the best ahtlete he was just the most skilled and with most teqnique, no diss tho jim thorpe was the shit

  • @30293952 eeeeeeehhhhhh, wrong! nice try though. bo jackson couldnt hold jim thorpes track shoes when it came to olympic events and we wont even get started on the sports aspect, but you keep on keeping on, bo jackson was a bad mofo.

  • Still trying to figure out how he was not able to recover from that injury.

  • @pkbosslac one word steroids an as soon as thet tryed to test him he faked that hip injury really a hip injury not a mcl or acl ohhh my hip ended my career

  • @realone5o4 I dont know about all that shit. It makes no sense. Regardless, I know for a fact a shit load of Football player today use steroids, AT LEAST 50%!

  • @pkbosslac thats a lil to much every 1 just got tested i think its around 20% ur talking half i dont think half of the nfl is on roids with alot of players moving on to new teams when they take their physicals thay take there blood u must be thinking baseball players 100% of all the good players is juiced up

  • @realone5o4 20%??? You have to be kidding me? Only because they pass a test during season doesn't mean they didn't do it in the off season. Plus the blood testing is just being done recently with the NEw Bargaining agreements. It doesn't take a genius to figure out. Just look at their bodies. Any person who has gone to the Gym and has enough knowledge about strength training knows these fuckers are on steroids but they know how to mask them. Its pretty obvious actually. Baseball also before.

  • @pkbosslac 20% is more lickly thin half they test for the masking agent too i dont think half of the nfl is juicing alot of them work really hard to get n the shape that there in an trust me these guys get tested more thin pornstars

  • @realone5o4 Nah homie. You are trippin haha. Its funny how easily people are fooled. You think they get tested more than pornstars. Its false. Plus like I said, they can mask the steroids. Yes football players work hard but do it whole on steroids haha. Many of the bodies you see are not normal. NFL doesnt make a big deal because it doesn't benefit them. Its all about money. The same thing happened in Baseball. You think the commissioner didnt know Baseball players were ROided? Haha C'mon man

  • @realone5o4 Of course he knew, and that why the criticize him. He pretended he didnt know because Baseball was hitting more homeruns, they were making more money because people were watching more baseball. Remember the Homerun Races with Mcgwire, Sosa, Bonds after. Its obvious. Football players are even bigger and more ripped. Its obvious a shit load of these fuckers are on roids, They even said it today on ESPN. They need more strict testing because players get away with it.

  • @pkbosslac ur right

  • @realone5o4 u right but Bo Jackson wasnt on Roids cuz they tested his blood more than everybody elses cuz at the time lots of specialist thought there was something wrong with him

  • @pkbosslac Lots in the nfl are such as michael vick but also lots of people are just jealous cuz they cant get that kind of body, im not gonna lie when i say im only 14 they think im ob something but its whatev. bo wasnt on nmothint cuz he got tested hella

  • @30293952 I never said Bo was on something. Im just saying that many NFL players are.

  • BS Bo. Earl Campbell was better RB than you.

  • It took me years to go back to see the team i love play live. Stupid superstion, i always thought that Brown, or Gannon, or Woodson would get hurt real bad. But, i've put all that shit to rest, and see my BLACK & SILVER whenever possible. Viva Los Raiderz!!!!!!!!!

  • I was at that game in the Coliscium to see Bo play his last football game ever. When i found out he would never play foorball for the Raiderz again or at all, i just recently started going back to games. I know it sounds stupid, but I'm from New Mexico so to see a playoff game, i jumped at the chance.

  • I talked with bo several times during auburn's run to the national championship. bad ass!

  • Brian Bosworth? They couldn't get a better defensive player than Brian Bosworth to attest to the difficulty of stopping Bo Jackson? Obviously Bo was hard to stop, but Jesus I'm pretty sure the fourth best running back for any given team at that time could have made Bosworth look like an absolute joke.

  • i always stop watching this video right before the injury

  • actually.. not true.. Bo fumbled 11 times..

  • I wonder what his legacy would have been if he had played longer, his career had not got cut short due to injury, First Ballot Hall-of-Famer for Football? Buy or Sell? what if he had just focused on Football only?

  • The thing that everybody gets so hyped about was his speed and power which were great but Bo would have never ever caught Walter because in 4 seasons all he put up was 2782 yards which is only averaging like 700 yards a year which is very pedestrian

  • @647booster You realize Bo didn't start playing Football until age 25? Yea 700 yards a year in the 9 games he got to play a season...no training camp, not too much knowledge of the Offense, and usually not even the starting RB for the team. Don't ever call Bo Jackson pedestrian again.

  • @dauntedpigeon Im not calling his talent pedestrian im saying that he would have never reached walter payton on the rushing list

  • @dauntedpigeon he played football at auburn??? what are you ta;ling about didnt play till he was 25.

  • @sampedro09 He didn't start playing in the NFL until age 25.

  • In my opinon I think Bo could have gone to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Baseball Hall of Fame. Just look at his baseball highlights, its ashame that he dislocated his hip, of all the injuries not to get thats the worst one for any athlete.

  • I think Lebron and Bo are the most athleticlly athletes to ever lived!!!

  • The guy was faster than Deion Sanders and was built like a Mack truck. He was the greatest running back of all time!

  • @Atlantafried I think he would have been rated in the top 3 had he played longer and all season.

  • @Icyhotboo You're right also. I think as far as overall talent, if you had to pick one guy for your team for one game, he had the greatest 'tools' of any running back. I mean the speed and power that he had for a running back is beast. Bo ran a 4.1 second 40 yard dash which is the fastest time ever in the NFL.

Watch the video again and you'll see Bo blast Ronnie Lott (49ers) backwards. I've never seen anyone do that to Lott. He was one of the most devestating hitters in NFL history.

  • Kind of like a cross between O.J. and Jim Brown. Had the sprinters speed to outrun everyone like O.J. only Bo was much stronger. Bo could have been the G.O.A.T. if he didn't suffer a career shortage.

  • @stormblast49 He had the GOAT ability, but he wouldnt have ever made it because of baseball taking up half of the football season. Pretty good baseball player too. Made some All-Star games.

  • no cj2k?

  • #1

  • greatest athlete ever!!!!!!

  • Runningbacks have one of the shortest lifespan in the NFL, thanks for the memory BO.

  • i wanna be just like him when i grow up

  • I am happy he played in my era I am sad that it lasted only a couple years.

  • BO avg 5.4 yards per carry...THAT'S INSANE

  • Damn this did not show the high hurdle over the cincinatti bengals run?

  • Why did he have to get hurt?!?!?!?!

  • Bo Jackson A Raider!

  • Steve Largent is almost as cool as Bo. Look him up.

  • What did he do? hypothetical nonesense Napoleon Mac Callum was better.

  • he was better as a royal....lmao

  • He was such a beast. It's a shame he couldn't have a long career.

  • 6 ft, 230lbs + 4.2 speed = GET OUT THE FUCKING WAY

  • Bo was a train on two feet.

    He just ran people over.

He was scary to a defensive player.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @jbobbster yeah right Darrel green had a 4.12 I'm pretty sure Bo didn't

  • @FrostTyler yea but darrel green didnt weigh as much as bo

  • Man with Bo, all you can wonder is what if? What if he had stayed healthy. No one before or since has had that combination of power and speed. He probably holds the record for the fastest 40 at a combine. And not to mention, great while being 2 sport athlete.

  • In the back of the Guinness book of world records, it says "All records are held by Bo Jackson. The ones listed are in second place."

  • Not quite as fast or elusive as Barry, and not quite as powerful and strong as Christian Okoye, but the fact that he posessed both instead of just one made him better than both.

  • Bo Jackson was just incredible. He ran through people like they weren't even there. He was a gifted athlete. The way he just ran over people was inhuman. And who can forget when he ran over Brian Bozworth? I'll never forget watching that play when I was a kid in disbelief.

  • @sdcpb77 Brian Bozworth is the one that did twenty dislikes on this video.

  • l0l_Ì_fêÈl_sØ_lÔÑëly_tÓdÃÿ

  • could you imagine wat bo jackson's fantasy file would be?

  • Love Bo!!

  • greatest athlete of all time bar none

  • @XXJOHNXXJXXRAMBO

he is up there in my opinion its muhammad ali or micheal jordan but bo is up there

  • man i almost cried when he got hurt.

  • the guy who talked bo was kevin walker and i know him in real life

  • when you find a player that can truck ronnie lott and that can run a 40 yd dash in 4.12 seconds you know he is great

  • Bo Jackson always wanted to be as good as Barry Sanders.

  • The last athlete that will ever have a true impact in both the NFL and the MLB is Bo Jackson.

  • what a shame, and he was probably a better baseball player!

  • GAOAT.... Greatest Athlete Of All Time.

  • hes the G.O.A.T

  • One thing that no one ever realizes is that Bo Jackson never fumbled, despite fighting so hard every carry for yardage.

No, literally. Not once in his entire NFL career.

  • @Crusaderomni Actually, he fumble 11 times in his 3 years. He is still great though.

  • @Crusaderomni damn. i never knew that.

  • @Crusaderomni sorry thats not true

  • @Crusaderomni he fumbled 11 times in the regular season on his career.

  • @Crusaderomni are you sure about that?

    pro football reference says otherwise

  • @Crusaderomni wrong.. he fumbled 11 times..

  • @Crusaderomni bo jackson fumbled 11 times during his nfl career, you jackass.

  • @Crusaderomni get your facts straight bro..

  • I love how one of the only guys to put a dent in him was at 1:08, the great Ronnie Lott. That really tells you how hard this guy was to bring down.

  • thats one scary baboon

  • @leaderofsithclan Needless to say if he were WHITE his skin color wouldn't be mentioned by you

  • ofcourse hes black

  • all i got to say is there is a reason barry sanders always called it BO's record

  • For those of you non-players out there who have deluded yourselves into believing that Bo Jackson, was not the best running back in the history of the game - I guess it just proves how little you know about football.

Anyone that knows the game and played the game at the highest level will automatically tell you that had Bo, not gotten injured, he would have been BY FAR the best Back ever. This guy was a prototype. A "21st Century" Running Back design, about 20 years AHEAD of his time.

  • @757LeftSeat What about Jim Brown he was BO JACKSON in the 1960's

  • BARRY SANDERS

  • emmet shith would be chacing "bo jackon" record not walter payton's record!......we all know that bo jackson is the greatest RB ever of all time!

  • Biggest bonehead move by Hugh Culverhouse and the Bucs not wanting to sign and PAY this man! Culverhouse being the cheapskate ASS claimed to the media and public at the time he was going to make Bo the highest paid rookie ever. If you read Doug Williams book (Quarterblack) he reveals that the cheapskate Culverhouse wanted to give Bo a land deal contract instead offering Bo a piece of land in Sarasota,FL. Plus Culverhouse was a racist! He paid a white athlete Testaverde big money followind draft!

  • if anybody has the nerve to post that bo jackson is the "best back ever"? they need to be punched in their shit. cuz thats the STUPIDEST THING IVE EVER HEARD IN MY FUCKING LIFE!!

  • sad the way hey went out :(

  • Best all aroun athlete I ever saw

  • To bad he went to a shit team!

  • @eastwood13 Too bad Raiders have 3 Super Bowls. Too bad Bo Jackson actually made it to the playoffs with the Raiders. Raiders would have won more Super Bowls with Bo Jackson.

  • At 1:58 Bo looks like Cadillac Williams from the side.

  • yes i know, in 4 years he never broke 1000 tards

  • @fogt1430 thats something i didnt expect to see, i just looked it up thanks to you lol. but then again he split carries with Marcus Allen, so i guess it makes more sense that he didnt hit 1000, but they combined for well over 1000 those 4 years. interesting to see what wouldve happened if bo had more than 200 touches one of those years

  • @40warrior He also missed weeks of each season because of his baseball career.

  • Those comments on bo jackson's body are gay1

  • @dad2ujunior sometimes a person can be so talented , he/she exceeds stereotypes

  • 0:22 "I think Bo Jackson is the best athlete of all time"... Really? I mean come on, REALLY???

  • War Eagle! Bo Jackson + Raider Nation QB x more Plainsmen = the new Silver and Black attack.......

  • He never broke 1000 yards

  • Comment removed

  • Bo Jackson was a much better football player than a baseball player. If he would have left baseball behind after college and committed to playing football full-time, he would have been one of the top 2 or 3 backs ever.

  • Comment removed

  • Bo Knows.

  • uuuh barry sanders did ya forget him??

  • @scottlake82 No one forgot barry sanders what a dumb question ... i dont know why you brought that up , but if its because there was a debate about bo and barry ... well you need to understand bo was beyond a football player is was "GODS" gift to the earth for all athletes if you are a football player you will should understand what a monster really is

  • Bo Jackson was just incredible. I would've loved to have seen what he and Marcus Dupree could've done with about a dozen years in the NFL.

  • if he only played football n stayed healthy he could easily been the all time leading rusher

  • my friend Robert runs the same way

  • @High5Brah adrian is probably the closest thing to bo and he might be as good ...the main difference is adrian plays in a time when the athletes are better overall . but bo is my favorite running back of all time

  • @High5Brah since when have we been talking about baseball?

  • @High5Brah once again, i dont think youve watched adrian if you say he's a product of his offensive line, thats a joke .. i hope you realize bo's 40 time isnt even official and it was recorded by hand, but hes still fast as hell

  • @High5Brah im not talking about baseball, im talking football, and if you cant see that peterson is the same type, if not better FOOTBALL player than bo, than you must not pay attention and watch the way adrian plays the game
