Although I'm trying to be a hardcore badass sometimes, this video makes me cry. Thank you so much, talo91. One of the things I regret in my life - I'll never be able to meet Mr. Mifune and say how much I appreciate his work and his talent. To just say humble "thank you... for all great characters, acting and inspiration you've gave us" and shake his hand. He is the True Last Samurai.

The pairing of Kurosawa and Mifune is probably one of the best in film history, Kurosawa found and built on his already powerfu presence leaving many in awe (including myself). A true legend of the greatest sort, his like we can only hope to see in film again, today's actors stand in this great mans' shadow.

Saw him first in Terence Young's 'Red Sun' 15 years ago and was so impressed that began to learn Japanese to be virtually closer to my hero. Will love him forever. Great actor and beautiful man.

Ive always enjoyed in Samurai films - more so now then ever - What a fine actor Mifume was - I remember his film with Charles Bronson but my favorites are his Samuri films - I enjoy the Japanese period films - My Mother might have pieked my interest with one of her favorite songs, China Nights, a Japenese love song - Spending several months in Japan in the 60's added to my enjoyment of the culture - which was cultivated by a dear friend, Yuriko Asano - GBY dear friend.

Herr Mifune acted in a mexican film. He spoke in perfect Spanish using a native accent perfectly!  Check out this film: ANIMAS TRUJANO

@MrAntares71 From what I've read, he was actually dubbed in that film, much to his disappointment as with the other western films he made. He never learnt English (again this disappointed him) instead he memoried the words and spoke them during filming, however they still dubbed him :(
