Great tutorial - you forgot to turn on the reverb in the end though?
Other than that brilliant, I'm going to go through your tutorials and learn as I go. Think this sound would be good for a LMFAO / RedOne (in Enrique's I Like It) synth 'stabby' effect - Watch out for me when I've produced a couple of tracks, I hope to be as good as you someday!
Great tutorial ;) You wanna turn the voices up, to get a fatter and bigger sound. Play with the drive in both parts. Choose 12db filter for the high-end and 24db filter for the low-end. With a supersaw you don't want any soft keys, so the wave should be set to saw on all 4 oscillators. The supersaw FX parameters has a good tweaking point at 33.33% or 66.66%.
question though: is it normal for the stereo knob to have zero effect when retrigger is on? have searched the web for this, but couldn't find any info on it - the sylenth manual doesn't mention it either..
@nzmusic101 hey dude. you probably already know this... but...
when u enable retrigger on sylenth it means that every time u press a different key the oscilator starts from the same point in the waveform.... for instance if one oscilator has 8 voices detuned they will all start in phase when retrigger is on.. hence the phasy sound .. when u have retrigger off they are all detuned on their own and start at different phases which is why it sounds richer :))
@LeviWhalenMusic shit! - yes, sorry all osc meant to be saw waves! royally stuffed up this tut - oh well just listened to the vid and the sound actually still comes out alright haha!
Thanks NZ But since your stacking all those osc and the supersaw sound is used for a few notes at a shot you should bring up the polyphony to 16 to make use of all those voices and make it sound even bigger

Great sound! Did you mean to leave osc B2 on the sine? I noticed you didn't change it to sawtooth and it does change the timbre somewhat.

@nzmusic101 haha its cool! It just gives it a more "ethereal" sound, so in a way its just less punchy.

Slap an envelope on that cutoff, that way when you roll off the top, there's still definition! Love it though
Rokoroks 9 months ago
@Rokoroks explain in fuller detail please. Slap an envelope on the master cutoff going which direction? down? i guess im gonna try :3

is it possible to make this in Massive? 0.o
fullaces90 9 months ago 17
@fullaces90 Yes, just do the same thing except with three oscs. Saw waves , detune , turn the unison up to 4-6ish bit of Eq and bam!
DJChrisMack 9 months ago
@fullaces90 1:17 "You can do it in Massive, but Sylenth is the best."
CS5n531 9 months ago
@fullaces90
Yeah but you'll get a different sort of sound.
