@jonjii777 To be honest, I don't think it's fair to blame the intonation of one person on a high school conductor. For our madrigal dinner, our tradition is that all the performers light candles, surround the audience, and we sing Silent Night. Depending on where you sit, you hear certain people more than others. But also, there are some people in the world who do need to learn and understand the word 'intonation'.
Anyway, this is such beautiful piece! I hope our choir does this piece next year
I can remember being in the candelight processional when the choirs performed in Waco Hall under the direction of Dr Euell Porter. Thank you so much for posting this. It brings back some beautiful memories. It was a beautiful performance.
There's ALWAYS a guy that sticks out! He's the pitchy one who always intones his note. Probably a bad high school choral conductor, eccch. Otherwise, this is OK. Chant is all about the non-ego.
I think that he sticks out because of where the camera is. I bet if you were in the middle you wouldn't hear him.
That being said, there always is one person...WHY!?!?!?!?!?! There's also always (in a community-iish choir) an old lady who thinks she knows everything and makes sure that we all know it, too...Hehe
One of my favourite carols, full of mysticism and wonder. There are about 8 verses but last time I sung it (Westminster Abbey, 9 lessons, Christmas 2006) we only sung 4.

Baylor has one of the better unversity combined choirs I've ever heard. Thank you for sharing your work on You tube.

@gamgee87 I agree. The one guy you can hear sounds more like a mic issue and not so much a blend issue.
Beautiful.
