Nope there shouldnt be a software version, android dev came out and said that donut isnt android 2.0 for example, its just donut! the version number is assigned once its released.

Great video, I did not expect to see a video for the click this fast and high quality. It looks like it is running Donut, but shouldn't the firmware version be a number which is based on Donut. I thought it would look really cheap but I think it looks good!
