I'm trying to start one. I need student and teacher support. Students, actually, have been harder to get interested than teachers.

That's kind of strange. Make sure to say things that appeal to straight allies and not just gay students. It could help.

People might be hesitant because they are worried they will face discrimination just for taking part in a GSA :/

@halomastertony13 I started GSA at my school this year,and it had been abit difficutl considering im living in a conservative state. But it got through and for Student I think to best keep them interested is to feel bond and be involved in alot of activities.
