The vocalist here utilizes both his harsh and clean parts in a way similar to MANY metalcore bands of current, making the record itself seem -corish. The vocal control to produce those death growls at the end of the song were totally amazing..I seriously dig Nightrage i think they are a fantastic band + plus great musicians which not many ppl may realise. It takes ALOT of stamina and skill to play Melodeath Metal and these guys for me..are one of the genres purest forms. And also their studio production is top Knotch..Their music is Brutal yet can be beautiful and haunting or even all three combined (eg A Condemmed Club)..Thats y I like them.

Dude, i think, when i was about 12-13, that true metal bands doesn't use clean vocals It was when i listened only Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth, Kalmah etc. They're all still good, but nowadays i have more genres in my iPod. Like trance and reggae etc. So metal is still.

Thats what happens in today's popular music sadly, and not only metal or metalcore. Look at today's "one hit wonders" in pop, hip hop, rock etc. Acts get very popular overnight and then disappear out of nowhere, just as they appeared, after their single is out of fashion, without them deserving even that temporary succes.

The reason they call Dark Tranquility and early Jester Race In Flames Melodic Death Metal is because it solely IS melodic throughout the song and doesn't let distortion or drums lead the way, the melody carries the song and the Death metal elements come from the vocalist.
