You sound like you either work /used to work on drilling rig, am looking to get a job as a driller offsider in the mines in WA down in Oz, looks like a tough job...am ready for it though...you got any tips on how to get thru the day, down in Oz its like 12 hrs 7 days a week for 2-3 weeks in 45 degree heat with no breaks or lunch breaks...apart from proper hydration what else would you recomend...cheers

mate..i was a offsider on the rigs in oz. that job was stupid. id rather be on the oil rigs.

well, its a good way to get your foot in the mining door, probly do it for a few mnths then try joining some service crew, trucks dozer operator..ect..

yeah it is a step in the door,i was driving a 250 tonne digger after the offsiding job.NOW that was a rush. 4 ladders to climb just to get to the cab.LOL, all the best tho mate.

that was the craziest bop drill i have ever seen.. but i work service rigs so not to sure how the drilling rigs do it.. WELL CONTROLL!! lol

What do you mean? At 1 min, 1:30, 2:15, 3 min, all the stands make up with 1 tong only - emergency horn sounds at 3:30.....

Don't sweat it, same thing here on my rig in Saudi
