Thanks for the demo, very helpful! Have been considering buying the TomTom nav app but now I don't think I'll bother because just like the dedicated ones it doesn't seem to show you more of the map as you are driving, instead it is constantly zoomed into the road. OK you can zoom out per route but by default is it zoomed in. In other words you are just getting bigger graphics rather than TomTom utilizing the bigger screen that iPad offers. Due to this it's easy to miss turns on roundabouts.

Doesn't give you street names? The voice also seems a little more annoying that say MotionX - annoying in that it tells you multiple times a turn is coming up. I like the idea of having the maps pre loaded as motionX requires a 3g connection but you can preload them before you leave your house via wifi. I prefer the simple interface that Tomtom uses too. Ok that's my 2c errrr 2p!
