This reminds me of Michel Legrand's music from the Umbrellas of Cherbourg (If it takes forever I would wait for you). Is there a common basis from which the two are derived?
You play this in a way that I can actually hear other instruments like strings and orchestra which obviously aren't there but there's such a rich fullness to it all and played with feeling rather than just mechanically/technically.
You play beautifully, no doubt. I would love to hear you play this at the time sig. it was written though. It was just way to fast for me. This was the first Barry Manilow song I ever really listened to, so it's special to me. :) Thank you for posting!
This is a lovely piece of music and I think I'm right in saying it's Barry's own composition. God he looked and sounded wonderful playing it on an early video filmed here in England (Wembley I think). You can really do it justice but gotta say he was so emotional and beautiful when he did it . Sexiest man alive and a pukka composer - what more can one say!!!????
