It may be possible that Woods is a prisoner in this POW camp. All of these possibilities though may be simply coincidental. It is also possible that this is a trap to lure Mason, Hudson, and Weaver there, in order to kill them.

The story was a mix of predictable hyper testosterone gunplay with no depth and a surprise twist stolen from Fight Club. The only CoD that wasn't shit was Modern Warfare, which only illustrated to the industry how easy it is to get the gaming community to waste money.

@supernover8781 A friend sent it to me. And I figured out Reznov in the underground tunnels when the dude says 'the fuck is wrong with you?' Honestly that was clever, but overall it was predictable and the writing was average at best. Every other Call of Duty game offers an equivalent or better experience. I have Modern Warfare, and I'm going to keep it for its excellent story, but I regret ever playing Black Ops.

I think Black Ops was up there, though under modern warfare. the gameplay was overall 9.5/10 for me, seeing as you get different weapon selections, vehicle expereiences and new character design, black ops was certainly one for the gameplay, not really a fan of online but it was good to blast some zombies away with your friends. Story (imo) was 8/10, although it lacked repitition in the twists, it was still nerve wrenching towards the twist.

@supernover8781 More guys to kill does not equate to a better story. Modern Warfare included several missions of really really tense stealth gameplay that was ACTUALLY GOOD. MW2 and Black Ops were either shit stealth or continuous action. There was no balance and the experience of Black Ops got really kind of numbing very fast. Modern Warfare went from a fucking nuke to a mission where you weren't supposed to fight anyone at all, just sneak around, killing maybe six people with no witnesses.

@jmerridew124 there were only three memorable stealth levels on MW. the one in act1 where price and his team's chopper gets hit. Act2 "all Ghillied Up" and Act3 "Ultimatum". The same sneak and shoot 'em experience though. Black Ops was different, "Victor charlie" was up there with stealth, going under water and knifing people had more of an experience then shooting. "WMD" was on and of again stealth which added to the experience and "Executives order", though only the 1st part was stealth.

It just wears on a player and Black Ops felt like a painful grind rather than a fun game. You shouldn't have to WORK to finish a game's story. You should have fun doing it. If you get bored or it gets tedious then the developers have failed. Unfortunately the millions of idiots funding this series fail to recognize its faults or the attempts at their wallets.

In MW your on a boat, shoot, run, shoot, run, retrieve document, extract, next mission. In black ops, your already in a bar retrieving intell, the law enforcers arive, you get to drive a car and shoot from a plane, and wind up risking your life to save your team. much different but shows so much more then MW.

@supernover8781 Ooh! High stakes in a video game?! INTENSE. Seriously there has to be a progression. If you start off with a climactic battle and an important kill, you can't keep an uphill slope. That doesn't mean a game has to start boring, but if a game starts off with a nuke, following it up with two nukes or a nuke and a half every level isn't going to make a fun game. It's only going to bore you and desensitize you to awesome, epic scenarios. Black Ops lacked any sort of pacing.

MW shows nothing but shooting russians and afgans will one squad dies in act1 (achieving nothing), act2 was completly useless for showing what price did 15 years ago, but they do find the safe house, and act3 was just turning off the missiles and killing the same guy price failed with. Im just saying BO was better i.m.o.

A twist isn't the only way to have a good story, and MW didn't start with a nuke, BO did. Then they followed it with another nuke, then a few more. It gets repetitive if the same 'jaw dropping' type event occurs every few minutes. The real gem that made Modern Warfare so fun was the jarring shifts between the loud high octane US marines and the stealthy, underhanded SAS.

@jmerridew124 what really made MW a good game? i.m.o it wasnt the story but the gameplay, in act2 when crawling through the dozen soldiers and tanks in "All Ghillied Up". what made black ops more enduring was the mission where you play as Reznov and he is betrayed by his own people and the "Payback" mission was intense in showing hard gun play and watching 2 of the S.O.G members die.

@supernover8781 I'd agree, there were intense moments, but they were ALL intense moments and they were ALL hard gun play. The thing that set MW apart for me was the fact that yeah, there were crazy, intense gun play parts, but there were also parts where the only way to succeed at all was to not move and hope to Christ no one saw you. I guess not all gamers have taste that spans beyond good weapon balance and clear motives, but I found myself holding my breath more than once during MW.
