I just don't think it represents the modern, cool tempo of the rest of the aphrodite album, and fails to extract the image she is trying to create. Not the best choice for a single, "Too Much" or something like that should have been released! But it has a positive message in light of recent teen suicides. I think the video would be great if it had a retro style/theme. Have the video start with Kylie in the 60's and run into 70's Kylie and so forth until they all meet, similar to "Did It Again" with various Kylies but sexier and more dancing!!! Especially since she included the pac-mans on her X-Factor performance!!

Also, hopefully the single will contain some new b-sides which will assist the single to chart. The slightly longer new version may appear on the rumoured re-release of Aphrodie. I'd like to see Kylie release a rarities, b-sides, ballads,jazz compliation CD maybe around the time of her touring for her loyal fans, plus it cud make some dosh for KM & Para recs. Here's hoping the tour is also new, original & no more dancing coloured robots! Hoping Stu Price is involved!

Great song & glad its the next single. Yeah it's a little different, though has a funky groove to it & is very different to whats on the charts at the mo, which Kylie fans will love. Although better than today is a good song, I agree with the majority of people here that it isn't single material. In my view Parlophone should release either 'cupid boy', 'too much or 'put your hands up' as to me they are better choices for the 3rd single, then the fourth single should be 'aphrodite' as the majority of Kylie fans would probably prefer those songs to be the next single. They should also promote them lots and make really good videos for them and then Kylie will be back on track

If Kylie thinks she can squeeze five singles out of this album she is seriously deluded. Her second single flopped and I can't see "Better Than Today" being a hit either. Sales of"Aphrodite" are pretty sluggish too as is the tour...I've been really disappointed with the campaign thus far, it's "X" all over again-poor judgement, bad single choices etc. I hope she can turn the tide.

I agree that aphrodite should maybe have been the next single, because it is a FAN favourite, although think about it. The majority of people who will buy the single will be people who dont have the album (because not many people would buy it if they already have it on the album) so it's the 'non-fans'. Aphrodite is about her returning and not many people will understand or get what she means if they don't know much about her, and better than today is an amazing song, nothing wrong with it!

Parlophone and her creative team simply have not learned their lesson after the disaster that was "X", What really galls me is that no-one is ever held accountable or dismissed. My fav track on X are 2 hearts, wow, in my arms, all I see, the one, speakerphone, sensetized, like a drug and nu-di-ty, but to me I felt that heart beat rock, no more rain and cosmic were not good choices, although I know that no more rain was a song close to Kylie's heart 'cos it was her cancer diognosis that was the inspiration for her writing the song, I personally thought taprobane was a better song for her to do so.

@7039TS The MARKETING/CAMPAIGN/ VISUALS of "X" were a disaster, not necessarily the ALBUM. "X" isn't a baaaaddd album per se, but it is a frustrating one! Too many superior tracks were rejected in favour of blander ones. Nevertheless, I do listen to it frequently. Stand-out tracks for me are "In My Arms", "Speakerphone", "Sensitized" (my favourite) and "Heart Beat Rock". Quite like the digital single version of "The One" also...

I'm stunned this has been chosen as the third single-it is shite. Kylie can't afford another misfire after "Get Outta My Way" became her second biggest flop after "Some Kind Of Bliss."
