Not quite... Bandai made that figure and sold the molds to Hasbro, Bandai was one of a few companies in Japan licensed to make toys based on Macross (the Japanese version of the first "saga" of Robotech [it's actually three different shows in Japan]). It wasn't Bandai they had a problem with but Harmony Gold who of course had the rights to the Macross animation which they released as Robotech.
