all you guys got it wrong, all their saying is that nfl has better padding for concussions but not bullet proof capabilities, what the military did was they just took the padding and added it to their helmets, that doesnt mean that the nfl helmets are more high tech, bounty005 their not more high-tech, their just padded
hey bounty005, in response to ur comment i have to say that with the military the technology is there but the first priority ,sadly to say, is money !! its always about money !!! now if our military only had 3000 people in it like the nfl then yes it would be different !! its sad that a bunch of people have to die before they start doin shit about though !! same shit's been happenin with the humvee's !!

The military's helmets are shaped perfectly so that different parts of the kevlar protect different areas, they have Lvl IIA bullet resistant technology and are communications integrated for radio headsets to fit under. NFL helmets are just round plastic with pads.
