I see a lot of CNG converted vehicles videos are from Utah. I wish my state had more CNG fill stations as compared to like Utah and Idaho. One guy who was running cng converted from petroleum said he had less power when on cng... I might just buy a diesel car and convert to bi-fuel(cng/ diesel)
@shaheertanveerakhan Not as much power as diesel or petrol, but 60-80% more miles for the same amount of money as compared to either of the two other fuels. We haven't however yet seen a system here that combines CNG with another fuel in a variable ratio, so no experience with that as far as power and fuel economy are concerned. Any word on that?
Why does the guy think its crazy that he's getting pushed back into his seat? I drive a Silverado 2500 Duramax and I can feel that at 1/2 throttle, and the guy in this video had it floored.
@chadt4 Who cares...Seriously...CNG is awesome, CNG trucks get great gas mileage! And run like any normal engine, and not some electric powerwheels. I'm all for CNG as a future fuel. It burns cleaner, is MUCH cheaper to buy, is in high abundance and will get us off forign Oil companys that hate our guts.
Also the website isn't working. I would love some more info on where you got your conversion done at. My dad just got his 08 f350 done at the car doctor in lindon. It does blow a little bit of black smoke, but it's fast as hell and does great on fuel.
I could tell that this was filmed in Lindon, Utah. We get all of our oil and gas from oil fields in Utah and Wyoming. So no our gas doesn't come from Canada.
@jbarlo86 Not right. U.S. gets large amounts of NG from Canada. Canada supplies NG to most parts of U.S. other than south central part of the country. What does this mean for Canada? We are forced to use more coal than what we should be using and this is not good for our health. There is also a problem with NG in that H2S has to burned off at the well to purify the gas to pure NG. What does this all mean? Humanity needs to be much more efficient with the resources God has given us.
I think CNG is the next logical step for Diesel motors when Oil prices become too high. It will be interesting to see how the price of Natural Gas moves when enough people make the conversion. It may even be economical to make your own natural gas (using the sabatier process) which can then be sold to consumers. This would be much easier than the so-called hydrogen economy, which is even harder to store and transport. I can see big demands for CNG in the future - for transport, electricity etc.
there's something better out now it's called petrol injection they inject petrol into the intake of the diesel engine they can get up to 50% more power
I was wondering if you could send a copy of this video to my email, my son would love to use it for a class project he is working on. If you could please send it as an attachment so that we can download to a disk, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Mary

Future fuel? we've been doing this in Pakistan for the past 17 years. There are more vehicles here running on CNG than diesel and petrol combined.

How do you calculate the mileage? Miles/(Diesel + CNG) or is it Miles/Diesel but forget to add CNG consumption?

What you can't see doesn't make it cleaner.
The molecules are broken down into smaller particles.
These are suspended in the air longer and is responsible for the acid rain and higher levels of ozone.
Rolling the coal or seeing smoke means heavier particles which fall to the ground. What comes from the earth will return to earth.
This is recycled into the soil.
Emissions from the hottest cleanest burn will Always result in Sulphur.
You are still polluting. even worse.
