I never had heard her before and she has a slightly similar sound in this aria to another Mezzo I did hear in recital in the 1970's, Elena Obratsova who had a very big voice with great low notes and was from Russia. I don't know if Obratsova is alive. This Mezzo has an interesting vibrato, nice slow tempo.
